Sturdy and Not Cheap Over the years, I've purchased those plastic long-stick lighter things and they're trash/ all of them. They don't work when you need them to or you have to shake them or something and the "flick" button is too much for me to deal with; I'm over using those ridiculous gadgets. Also, those plastic lighter things are throw-aways as in ...nobody gets them refilled Back to this product; I bought a batch about two years ago and recently realized I was fresh out of matches...so of course I'm buying more of the same quality item. Books of matches are okay, but pretty flimsy compared to these sturdy matches. I don't know about anyone else, but when the power goes out or I want to light a candle the last thing I need in my life is a flimsy book of matches or an aggravating plastic lighter stick that decides to get problematic on me. I have also tried the long stick matches but they break or maybe I need a training class or something to use them; I don't have time , energy, or any motivation to go forward with that pipe dream of an endeavor.

These matches hold up like little professionals. We attached the little strike strips to a pretty container to keep my fireplace and these matches have not failed us yet. They don’t break. They have a slow burn that doesn’t consume the match quickly leaving you time to do your work. They are perfect and well worth the price. We highly recommend these matches of all things they make life a little easier.

These matches are GREAT! Lights on one strike. More expensive than the Diamond Greenlight, but totally worth it!!!

No rocket science or special technique required here: I just strike the match and voila, a flame appears. One might think this is no special thing, but my mother bought some penny matches with the brand name Cavalier from a discount store called Jack's, and I HATED those things with a passion. About half of the matches in any box were too skinny and snapped; the others wouldn't light without several tries and most of the match head wearing off. I started holding two of them together at a time just to get a flame going, and even that didn't work sometimes. My mother said she had no problem with the matches and actually demonstrated for me HOW she held the matches and struck them to get them to light. Note to all the manufacturers of penny matches out there: striking a match should be an effortless action that requires no conscious thought and no demonstrations of “match-striking technique”. It should NOT be rocket science!As to whether these Swedish matches burn out quickly: yes, they do—IF I hold them horizontally, that is straight across. If, however, I light the match and then point the lit end downward, as if I’m going to light a lamp or candle, I have found that it burns nicely.I thought the Cavalier matches my mother had bought were Diamond brand, and so vowed to buy them never again. Since they’re not Diamond matches after all, I might try Diamond on my next go round. Overall, though, I am really happy with these Swedish matches. They work! If Diamond disappoints, I’ll be back!

These safety matches are a great option for reliable matches with a unique look. The matchheads have a distinct appearance compared to standard bright red ones, and the striking strips work consistently and last through the entire box, unlike some other brands. The smaller matchheads burn quickly, so they light fast but might not be ideal in windy conditions. All in all though, they are functional, effective, and come in a convenient and long lasting 10-pack. A solid choice for everyday use or to have some on-hand that doesn't take up a lot of space. Still highly recommended!

Love these matches. Great deal. I’ve bought them a couple times now. Great to have around the house.They are cute and also each box comes with a lot of matches! The bunch lasts awhile

The basic matches you buy at stores here in the U.S. often break in half or take multiple strikes to light. These matches ignite so easily on the box it’s amazing! Definitely great quality!! And the box artwork is a fun and vintage style which makes it nice to leave out and not hide away in a drawer when needed. I’m even giving some as gifts to friends in care packages :)
