No not at all as long as you are using super clear epoxy

Sublimation ink and this paper? How is it applied to say a mason jar?

Water slide paper is used in a regular printer with regular ink. After you print you must seal it with at least 4 coats of clear spray paint. After it is dry you will put it in water. The design will slide off the backing onto whatever you are putting it on. Look up how to videos on YouTube.

Someone stated you can’t see the shiny side at all/is this correct?

You can definitely tell the difference... my clear waterslide had print on the back and shiny on photo side

Why does it crack? I have wasted about 4 photos because every time it cracks before I can even put it on the surface?
