The light is telescopic closed its 5 1/4". Fully extended 6 1/8". For the money they are great lights.

18650 3.7 Volt Lithium Ion Battery or 3 AAA batteries.

Is their a certain way to press the button to shut off? Everytime i try to shut off it just blinks

The User Interface is very bad. If you just gently press on the button you can switch the mode. If you fully press the button it turns off. I like to leave it on HIGH. But many times, after turning it off when it's set to HIGH, comes up blinking. If there is a trick to it, I haven't found it. Would not buy again. I prefer to have a simple ON/OFF switch

3 aaa batteries do not fit they do not stay or connect. If there is something I need to place all 3 in it needs to be included returning this junk
