Tamiya Weathering Master Drybrush Effect Pack D - Paint

As someone who builds models, I've always searched for something that replicates the heat staining on stainless/titanium etc. Ive tried eye shadow, oil paints, watercolors, etc etc and while some of those looked "okay", using this stuff one time blew the rest of those out of the water. It's basically like a version of eye shadow but with very fine consistency. I will say though, CLEAR COAT when you achieve your desired effect. Save your work, lol. Nothing worse than making something look great then smudging with your finger or something. I also ordered the metal weathering pack which looks great as well. Whoever in Japan at Tamiya came up with this stuff, my hat goes off to you. Such a simple solution to something that can otherwise be complicated.

I didn't really know what to expect with this product, having never used anything expect paint to weather my models before. It turned out to be much better than expected. I bought these on a whim because, why not try them right? Now they are my favorite weathering tool on my scale models. They are really easy to use and blend great together. They are almost like makeup.The only minor concern is it only comes with one applicator, and you can't really clean it, so I had to order more makeup brushes so the colors can keep separate.

Very easy to apply and more convenient than paint. Amazing how model details stand out after weathering.

This particular set is great for adding that burnt titanium look to exhausts and oil stains on the oil pan/other metal parts.

If you want to make your action figures or models look more real, this stuff is perfect

Tamiya always makes high quality products and this weathering product is no different. It gives any model that perfect weathered battle scared look.
