Peter Woodcock was Canada's youngest serial killer when at the age of seventeen he brutally raped and murdered two boys and a girl between the ages of four and nine. He was never put on trial by "reason of insanity" and instead was confined for 34 years in a criminal psychiatric facility and offered treatment. On July 13, 1991 he finally had earned his first day pass ever and allowed to briefly go off the facility grounds into town to visit a DQ for an ice cream. What Woodcock did within the first hour of his first day pass stunned many people and made national headlines. INCLUDES GRAPHIC PHOTOS Review: Loved this book!!!! - I had never heard of Peter Woodcock before I read this book. I am a huge fan of RJ Parker Publishing, and it was one of their featured books. I have to say that Mark Bourrie really impressed me with his writing. The book grabbed you from the beginning, and it didn't stop. I could not believe that Peter Woodcock aka David Michael Kreuger was let out on a day pass, let alone with Bruce Hamill. Peter Woodcock was a seriously messed up kid, and once they had him, they should have never let him out from whatever place they had him in. Seriously, read this book!!!! You will not be sorry that you did! Review: Truth is stranger than fiction - I am finally getting around to writing a review of Peter Woodcock: Canada's Youngest Serial Killer. The book was well written, and provided pictures of the killer and some of his victims. It seemed to me that his foster family abetted some of his behavior even though they did seek mental health counseling. Iโm surprised he was not caught after molesting some of the children. The mental health system clearly failed this young man and his victims. I like to read about true crimes but this book bothered me for some reason thatโs why took me forever to write this review. Anyone interested in reading about real crimes should read this book. You would never believe this story if this book was a work of fiction.

Nice Short Interesting Read
This is a nice short read, but, captivating non the less. I only wish there were a more in depth book written about these horrible murders.

Poorly written
This has to be one of the most poorly written books I have ever read. The writing was often disjointed, and the author seems to have no sense of how to turn facts into a readable story.

Terrifying life!
An inside look into the terrifying life of a murderer. Well written. Must read for true crime readers and others interested in the dysfunctional life of a killer.

Great Story -Too Little Detail
I was expecting a more detailed and better written account of the story. Apparently I didn't read the description well enough and overlooked the fact that this was merely a brief overview of what could have been so much more. Love true crime but I was disappointed with this one.

Absolutely Gruesome
I enjoy a good true crime story, and this one is probably one of the more gruesome Iโve read. Itโs hard to say I enjoyed it, it was difficult to read at points because of the subject matter and the level of detail the author goes into.... plus the victims were often very young children making it even more difficult to comprehend. Giving it 4 stars because the story telling jumped around a bit, making it difficult to follow.

Great Book
I don't think there is any help for someone as evil as Peter Woodcock or for any Child Killer. Our Justice systems around the world need to be changed especially for child killers and pedophiles. Another great book...couldn't put it down.

A good read.
I thought this was a good read, as I knew nothing about this very sick individual and his crimes. Be warned, disturbing in parts, but thought provoking, especially regarding the laws in that era, and mental health care.

Great read
This was a very interesting and disturbing read. Made me stop and think that you never know what is going on in someoneโs head. This book was very well written and I enjoyed it immensely.

Perversion and violence. Yum-yum.
Like other titles in this series, this book is the length of a magazine article and can be read as quickly. One might quibble with the quality of the writing, but if you enjoy (as I do) reading about deeply disturbed, homosexually-oriented murders, this one's definitely worth buying. In fact, there are two such individuals in this story. Unlike some full-length true-murder books, one could never accuse the author of PETER WOODCOCK: Canada's Youngest Serial Killer of padding. It's a telegraph of perversion and violence. Yum-yum.
