The most amazing curling iron I have ever owned, ever.I don't normally leave reviews, because meh. But this is not a curling iron. It's a magical unicorn wand that transforms your hair into a glowing wavy goddess. Being a working mum I rarely have time after a shower to get dolled up before work, before someone starts bugging me for trivial things like waffles and milk. My normal go-to 5 min work look is minimal makeup, (no eyeliner cause I can't do that liquid stuff in .5 seconds) a semi cute outfit, hopefully nothing is stained and it is washed, and my hair is well, whatever. Usually I make some small effort to not look like a chia pet. To that effect I try and flat iron it on a good day, or whip through some curls with a fat hot tools curling iron. But it doesn't always work out. Sometime two years ago I was duped into chopping off my long locks into one of those 'messy bobs'. Worst time of my life. What I thought would be an easy everyday style turned out to be the struggle of the year while my thick unruly hair decided to flip out like a 1960s Patty Duke show. The horror. Now that it's growing out theres a mess of layers everywhere. And the only thing I can do is style it out so it doesn't look like I've completely lost any sense of style. My Hot Tools brand curler broke and I was on the market after two intense days of flat ironing for something new. This little wand popped up and I was suspicious. I'm picky AF with my hair and I spend a lot on tools and such so 34 bucks....psh. I figured if it sucks I can return it, right. I played with it the night I got it in the mail because I didn't want to F with it in the morning if it was a total fail. OMG even my husband gleamed. He said I hadn't looked that pretty since our wedding night. Low and behold my new hair is on fleek. It doesn't make those big poofy southerns waves (no offense lovely ladies of the south) it makes those loose, beachy, I just got up bu really took 10 min to curl my hair look. I have very thick hair, and it's georg. Love it. Buy it. It will change your life. I'm so paranoid that it's going to go out of stock I'm considering buying at least 3 more. I've never had an easier time curling my hair. The little motor thing wraps your hair around the hot iron so easily I think I could pour milk into my kids cereal with my other hand. Don't be late to work again. Get this curler and get that promotion you deserve.

Must check out! Such a ingenuitive curling iron. So surprised at its low price (because of what it can do).
For me, this is more like 4 stars, but I think that this curling iron deserves 5 stars. My issue is simply that it is better for long hair. It still works, it’s just that it doesn’t grab my hair as good as it would if it was longer. I have layered shoulder length hair. This iron is best to create ringlet like curls. But I think it depends on how much hair you use as to whether the curl is tight or loose. There is a knack to learning how to use it. For me, I feel like I have to rotate it in the opposite way as my mind thinks it should go? But I’ve worked it out. Extra info: it has a really long cord which helps. It swivels so the cord or hair don’t get twisted. At the very end of the iron and where the cord starts is a little area so you can hang from a hook. These things don’t seem like much, but they do make things easier. Also note, there is no temperature setting. It’s one temp which is plenty hot to burn you. I’ve been meaning to order one of those gloves I’ve been seeing that helps prevent that. The temp does seem to be an even temp. A negative thing.. there’s not an automatic shut off so you have to be careful. Maybe set a timer?So.. maybe because of my usage would knock it down a star, but compared to everything on the market, this is a really Big Bang for your buck!

Quick and hot so don't cook your hair!
Does a good job at smoothing and curling...do be aware it gets very hot (so I use LOW setting) on gray long hair, slightly wavy.Heats up quickly and has a nice long cord which is good. Also, cord rotates on handle so you don't have a rats nest when you have finished curling.

I can finally do my own hair!
I am terrible at doing hair. Most of my life, anytime my hair got below my chin, I had no idea how to style it, and it would drive me crazy, so I would just cut it off again. I'm determined to have long hair for a while, and wanted way to look nice with my now long hair worn down.I'm terrified of regular clamp curling irons (so many scalp and hair burns as a kid) and the clamp-free ones require way more coordination and patience than I posses.Enter this magic wand! Nope, not that kind (though it does look a bit like a hitachi in the box) it curls my whole head of hair in under 15 minutes. The curls are consistent and even. When I use my curl creme first, and spritz with a bit of hairspray, they last for DAYS.So many compliments, and selfies, have come from this tool. I love it.

not hot enough
it doesn't get hot enough to curl my hair. I have hard to curl hair. It's probably a decent product for most people, but i need more heat.

Worked for a couple of months...
I really liked this straightener up until a couple weeks ago. I got it at the beginning of March, and it worked great - has a nice long cord, came to temp fast... then about 2 weeks ago, I turned it on to use it, and after it "got to temp" (I assume, anyway), the digital display read "E1", instead of a temperature, and it was only barely warm. I'm not sure what happened. My outlets are all GFCI, and I never left it on for longer than it took to do my hair, but now it does it every time I try to use it. I've tried setting it at a lower temp, to see if maybe it just was overheating, but it does it even at 300 degrees (or less!). It makes it really difficult to use the iron, as I have to keep unplugging it, plugging it back in, turning it back on, and letting it warm back up every time it displays the "E1" message. I'm guessing eventually it will just refuse to turn back on. Super disappointing, because I was really hoping I had found a straightener that would last.
