I'm SO HAPPY I found this diffuser! I broke the diffuser attachment for my dryer about 18 months ago. I can't remember where I purchased the dryer but I love it. It's medium sized, ionic, has great power, the cool blast button plus 3 other heat settings and 2 speeds. I searched high and low for a replacement diffuser, to no avail, because no parts would fit. I tried everywhere, eventually schlepping my dryer with me to multiple beauty supply and retail stores after purchasing/returning several diffusers. I even considered buying another dryer with attachments but I didn't want to spend the $50-$80. I can't find mine anywhere, not even online and the others in my price range don't compare in power or features. I can't always leave my hair wet and I don't always want to blow out and straighten it either so I searched YouTube for ways to air-dry my curls or use a different blow-dry technique. It was then that I saw women using this Curly Co. product and raving about its attributes. I can't tell you who the users were but I can tell you they were so right! So I either linked through or searched Amazon for this product by name and ordered it. At first I was skeptical because it was tough to get it on my dryer barrel. But once I got it on: boom! I can quickly dry my curls even on the highest speed and heat setting without damage or frizz. It works like a charm, stores easily in my drawer while still on my dryer (I refuse to remove it) and fits in my suitcase while traveling. Even though I'm an excellent packer and pack light, I no longer leave home without my blow dryer. I'm sure you know how hotel dryers just can't hold a candle to your own if you have a professional or semi-pro dryer. One note of caution: if you use the highest heat setting, I suggest leaving this item on the counter to cool off before placing in a drawer or closed in space with items that may melt or become scorched. I've had this Curly Co. Collapsible Hair Diffuser for 2 months and I couldn't be happier. I may buy another one for travel in case I pack extra light and take a chance on a hotel dryer. I definitely recommend this product!

My friend didn't have a diffuser so I found this one on Amazon and bought it for her. Since it had such great reviews I bought one for myself because maybe it was better than the diffuser I have now. I'm not sure if she's used hers, but I LOVE mine. I use it just like my old diffuser but my very curly hair just ends up staying more together and being less frizzy. I've actually gotten 3 compliments from friends and family about how they think my hair looked really great that day, and even one unsolicited one from a stranger about how they liked my curls. The attachment barely fit on my hairdryer, but I was able to get it on there and it stays on snug. I'm pretty sure it will fit on any hairdryer because it's kind of stretchy but firm. Overall I love this diffuser and I would recommend it to anyone. If you've never tried one and have curly or frizzy hair, take the leap! I also like that the company sent a little E-Book about how to take care of curly hair and use the diffuser. I learned a few tips that seem really helpful as well, for example not raking conditioner through your hair with your fingers in the shower, but instead to sort of smoothing it over the outsides. That seemed to make my hair a lot less "heavy" so the curls are "springier." This diffuser is way better than my old one!

Flexible material that easily attaches and fits over several size blow dryer sizes (2 in). Collapsible making it easy to store for travel: no need to travel with a blow dryer. Only negative since it's so flexible it collapses down while diffusing or when pushing against my scalp. I have to diffuse smaller sections and not use as much pressure when blowdrying so I don't have to stop to open it back up. Overall convenience makes for a great travel companion, not to replace everyday diffuser.

I bought this for travel. As it turns out it has not fit on the majority of hair dryers provided at hotels in the US and abroad. When I’m able to use it on a dryer that it will fit on, it works well for about 1 minute. After 1 minute the rubber heats up and it will no longer hold its rigid form and collapses…making it impossible to dry your curls upside down. With my most recent trip I gave this one more chance to work. It was nds up being very frustrating. I’ll throw this away and buy a better one.

I was using the Drybar diffuser with my Bio Ionic PowerDiva blow dryer. It was the best universal diffuser I found that fit the 2" nozzle and I liked it a lot until I dropped it and broke one of the prongs. I never took it with me when I traveled because its so big. Instead of replacing it I decided it was perfect time to try Curly Co diffuser that is collapsible and will also fit my beloved blow dryer. The results are impressive and my hair looks amazing! This diffuser is much better and my hair is curlier with no frizz. The shorter prongs made such a difference at the roots and it also fits my dryer like a glove. It was a quicker and more comfortable drying experience. The rubber is good quality too and did not get too hot. It also came with travel bag. :)

I am in the middle of some much needed hair TLC and embarked on a curly journey to restore my shoulder length 3a,3b, and 3c curls. I have been using the same diffuser for about 15 years (!) and was rigging it to fit my current hair dryer (my old one came with a hair dryer I had many moons ago and I could not find a good replacement). I saw this item on Instagram and thought it would be a great answer to my problem + the added bonus of making it easy to travel with. I am VERY happy with my decision. It fits my hair dryer perfectly and stores away nicely (it also allows me to give my old, faithful diffuser a break!). The basket portion of the diffuser is generously wide, so styling is easy as it feels like it is cradling my hair. I use low heat, or no heat, and my curls come great with every use. The materials used are light, yet sturdy. Last but not least, the price.. it's a great value for the price. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone else looking to add to their curly girl arsenal.

I've been looking a long time for a good diffuser to take when I travel. Most were way too large and never fit the hotel hair dryers, and the sock diffusers never worked well for me. This collapsible one is great! I couldn't believe that it actually fit my small travel hairdryer, it was a little too snug at first, so on the inside of the rubber rim I trimmed off a little of the black rubber tabs and it fit perfectly! I especially like that the diffuser nozzle is rubbery and clings to the end of the hairdryer instead of shooting off the hair dryer like a rocket. I'm also thrilled that it's collapsible and doesn't take up a lot of room in my travel bag. This was definitely a good purchase and one that I will get a lot of use out of on my travels!!

It came right on time, with Prime 2-day shipping. But it came in a plastic baggie with the Curly Co logo on it. No product box, no instructions. Granted, I could be the only nerd out there who needs instructions on how to attach and use a diffuser. It was mostly the attaching that I needed help with. It was very difficult to attach to my blowdryer (a travel size Revlon, I think? I'm not sure, I originally bought it for helping my watercolor dry faster), and feels like it might slip off. To attach, I ended up putting the diffuser on the floor, pressing the barrel of my blowdryer into the attachment tube, and sort of peeling the attachment onto the dryer. My fingers got pinched and scraped in the process, and I pretty much had to put my full bodyweight into it. If my partner had been home, I would have asked him to do it since he used to throw people for fun (cheerleader) and would have had the required strength in one arm. Even so, it took me a solid 5 minutes of bodyweight and a few minutes of Googling to figure out if maybe the diffuser just wouldn't work with my dryer, or if I was doing it wrong. I haven't used the diffuser yet. It just got here 10 minutes ago. I'll update when I've used it a few times. **EDIT** I've now used this diffuser twice. It stays on well enough while I'm using it, but as someone else mentioned: collapsible means holding the diffuser the whole time anyway, because it keeps collapsing during use. Also, be prepared to go through the painful process of reattaching it EVERY time you want to use it. When I lay my dryer down when I'm done, at least 1/3 of the edge of the diffuser slips off the barrel every time. And although I no longer need to use my bodyweight and I've tried other ways of attaching the diffuser, the only one that works is getting my fingers in the silicone attachment ring of the diffuser and stretching it over my dryer. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but this material doesn't stretch well-- as a result, my index fingers and thumbs are visibly scraped, and one index nail got smashed between diffuser and dryer hard enough that one side of the nail is detached and bleeding. A+ job making this "universal" diffuser attachable by the women it's meant for, dev team!

Bought this for a trip to Europe. Really really happy with it. I needed to use it slightly differently that a standard diffuser as it is silicone and too much weight on it causes it to collapse in on itself, but it didn’t take long to get the hang of it. Works really well, fitted most hotel hairdryers, packed flat and small, and most importantly is very light. Would highly recommend for curly travellers!

I knew a single product couldn’t be totally universal but so far it’ll have managed to fit it on to every hotel hairdryer I have tried (tho I did enlist the help of a shoe horn in one hotel!). Overall very happy. It is pricey but beats have wet hair in freezing temps outside.
