Great product
Very study. It was higher than we wanted but we cut it down and still worked as needed. Best price we found.

Super sturdy and excellent quality
I actually sawed mine into 2 separate risers and it worked perfectly for shallower placement. Now don't have to dig them up when access is needed. Easy to work with and standard fit to septic tank.

Good product
If you donโt want to spend $500 on this but expect quality, here you go. The only thing is getting all you need delivered. Other items that go with this got easily cancelled and you canโt finish your project.

Very easy and effective for DIYers
If you can dig up your septic tank's lids, apply some goo, and mix up a small batch of concrete, you can handle this. Roofing asphalt in a caulking tube is required to seal between this and the ring that actually goes onto the septic tank. Then you apply a goodly amount of this goo to the bottom of the ring before sticking it down Concrete screws really aren't needed, but you can use them if you like. I noticed that with asphalt, there's a chance of tree roots finding their way through all that and into the septic tank. To fix that, I'll be digging up my risers and exposing the concrete tank again. Then I'll seal up any gaps I missed and pour over that some concrete to a few inches away from the interface between the adapter ring and the tank itself. These parts are full of waffle-like protrusions that provide lots of places for soil or concrete to grab onto. So, count on adding concrete to the outside to make good and sure that no roots will get in. Two bags of concrete should be enough.

Working great.
Bought & installed 2 of these Tuf-Tite risers, replacing the concrete lids on my septic tank. Fit well on concrete septic tank and installed easily. I used concrete anchors for the adapter ring with putty tape below the ring for water seal. Putty tape I used was https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FHH7CG6/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_17. The risers were strong enough that there was no bend or wobble when I was standing on top of the lid (210#). I chose to bury the risers about 6" below the surface with a surface marker. I didn't want a 24" green lid showing in my yard. Grass will grow over and no one will know what's there until the septic tank needs pumping again. You have to buy the adapter ring and lid separately from the riser. I had to chisel the concrete "lids" from my septic tank as they would not come off no matter how much pressure I applied. I replaced the original concrete lids with a piece of plywood cut to fit & sealed with Dicor self-leveling Lap Sealant so there is no noxious gas inside the risers. Overall, this was about a $300 fix for 2 risers that will hopefully last the life of the septic tank.

Not bad...
It's actually a very good quality product. I purchased it as a package deal, (ring and riser), and the screws were missing. As with all Amazon purchases, they would refund or replace it. I opted not to return or have it replaced, just for (6) missing screws.

Matches tank adapters
Bought these because I actually do have my septic tank pumped periodically. The tank installer wanted the tank hidden about 12 inches under ground. Thatโs fine if you never have tanks pumped and filter cleaned or drive over it. Tank sediment can reduce your capacity over time. Now the caps are at ground level and I can be careful with what goes over my cement tank. Be sure to seal between the tank adapter and the riser. Use #10 x 1.5โ screws.

Well built and saves a lot of work in the future. Allows easy access
I just received this Riser yesterday, Dug up my septic lid and found that the lid on the septic tank was right on the edge of the tank which means that the riser adapter would not have worked which in my view is over priced anyway. I,m Glad that I did not purchase it. The I will use Butyl rope to attach the thin edge of the riser to the other sides of the tank, but if it does not hold I live in Arizona and we do not get that much rain anyway but even if it did how is a little extra. of water going to effect the tanks operation when we take showers any way. I am just going to use silicone caulking just in case between the two risers even though there is a lip that will also help to keep water out between them, than put in the stainless steel screes to keep it together. Make sure you put the risers upright so that if you do use the adapter it fits right, the lid will fit on either side but fits better when it is in the upright position. They say that the top is just like it is shown on the picture but there are some differences just enough to make you wonder. The Top edge has a longer lip than the bottom. and you can see the screw holes from the top but not from the bottom. make sure they are lined up with the riser beneath before putting in the screws. I think these thinks are over priced butt that is probably because of shipping cost to ship them, But on the other hand well worth it when you consider not having to dig them up every time you need them cleaned out.
