Great Quality
recently purchased the Aksoy Premium Quality Dry Chickpeas XL Size (12mm) in a 1KG package, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality. As an avid home cook, I love experimenting with different recipes and recently tried making homemade hummus using these chickpeas. The results were phenomenal! The chickpeas were of excellent quality, with a perfect size and texture. They cooked evenly and easily, becoming tender and soft in no time. The flavor was rich and nutty, exactly what I look for in chickpeas. I was able to achieve a smooth and creamy consistency for my hummus, thanks to these high-quality chickpeas. What I particularly appreciate about this product is the generous 1KG package size. It will undoubtedly last me for ages, allowing me to make countless batches of hummus or experiment with other chickpea-based dishes. The value for money is exceptional, and I can confidently say that I will be purchasing this product again in the future.

Proper chick peas. Follow cooking advice and see how large they are in comparison to those in tins.
Superb quality large dry chick peas. Twice the size of tinned varieties once cooked. A big 5 kg bag lasts a long time even if you are someone who uses a lot. I eat them like nuts once cooked. Healthy and very economical.

Large, tasty, good value!
These are nice and big, and cook up within half an hour following an overnight soak - usually a good sign that they haven't been sitting in a warehouse for years. I've used them for hummus and pasta e cece so far, and they're very tasty. The size means they'll probably roast well for a snack so I'll be giving that a try next. Decent price considering the quality too.

Great Giant Chickpeas (Recommend)
Purchased these in November 2025 & was very impressed, they have a good date & really good size peas, I soaked & then cooked all at once in the pressure cooker cooled & froze in quantity equivalent to1 drained tin with little liquid, will definitely order again & would definitely recommend

Old chickpeas?
I bought these after reading so many positive reviews. Despite soaking them overnight they didn't swell up as much as expected. Not a good sign, but didn't think much of it. When cooking them they weren't ready after the usual cooking time. I overcooked them by a lot to even have them lose the starchy flavour. I must have received old chickpeas, which given the price was quite disappointing.
