Excellent Beard Balm with a Great Natural Feel and Long-Lasting Hold
I really love this Honest Amish Heavy Duty Beard Balm. It has become a regular part of my grooming routine. Fragrance: The subtle spearmint scent is perfect—not overpowering at all. It smells clean and natural, and I really enjoy it throughout the day. Moisturizing: It does a great job keeping my beard soft and moisturized. It helps tame dryness and keeps everything looking healthier. Ease of Use: Very easy to apply. It melts quickly in my hands and spreads evenly through my beard without any hassle. Value for Money: A little goes a long way, so the 2-ounce tin lasts quite a while. Definitely good value for the quality you get. Skin Irritation: I haven’t experienced any irritation at all. It feels gentle on the skin underneath my beard. Longevity: The hold and conditioning last a long time. It keeps flyaway hairs under control throughout the day without needing constant reapplication. Overall, this is a high-quality beard balm that works exactly as expected. It keeps my beard looking neat, feels great, and smells fantastic.

Happy Face - 1.5"-2" thick beard
I ordered Heavy Duty Beard Balm and the Leave-in Conditioner (all natural). My beard is nearing two inches right now, so it had a nice poof to it. I began using the Balm/Conditioner a month ago. Overall, these two products work great. You just need to experiment a little with how and when you apply them and determine which product is right for you. As a side note, I generally have dry skin in the winter, therefore my face itched and my beard became brittle and at times a little bit itchy. Application: I prefer the Heavy Duty Balm. I am washing my beard ever 2-3 days and adding the balm daily. I will use a little bit at a time (enough to cover my finger tip) then rub two fingers together until the balm is liquid. Then I apply the balm to individual areas of my beard, to make sure it is evenly disbursed. I do scratch and dig into my beard a little bit prior to application just to separate hairs. This seems to help my face from itching less. Time between uses: I use the balms 1-2 times a day. The Heavy Duty in the morning (after my beard has sufficiently dried after a shower) and the Leave-in Conditioner in the evening or immediately before bed. I may use a little more here and there if my face feels dry. (weather dependent) Vs. The Heavy Duty gives my beard a little bit more structure and is not as oily as the Leave-In Conditioner. Maybe I am using too much of the leave-in, but from different approaches to how and when I apply each balm, for all day use, the heavy duty does the trick. The leave in is definitely good on my skin. I hate lotion, so I don't like the feeling it leaves on my hands if I touch it at all through the day. Smell: The smell is there. It is good. If you don't like things that have a smell, then don't use this. If you like smelling good, use this. (the smell has the girlfriend's stamp of approval)

Excellent product
I like this balm. I was previously using Cremo balm. It didn't seem to do much for taming frizz or conditioning, despite having a far firmer and more waxy feel. The Honest Amish is buttery so you can scoop a little out of the tin with your fingertip and rub it on your palms for a few seconds and it melts to a nice consistency. it applies nice and evenly through a damp, or even dry beard. Finish with a brush or comb and I'm looking good. My beard is softer in just a week and has fewer flyaways. The scent is so subtle that it might as well not even be there. My only complaint is that it can leave an ever-so slightly greasy feel if you're not careful. I know that's the case with most balms but it seems to do so a little more than the Cremo did. A small price to pay for all the other benefits. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. I may experiment with other brands later, but for now I'm very pleased with this.

Go to beard balm
Amazing whether beard short and trimmed or long. Helps with the feeling of dry skin and helps keep my beard tame and manageable. Fragrance is mild and pleasant. Been using it for years and will continue to do so.

Best Product I've tried so far
About me: I've grown my beard out for the first time ever. As it has gotten longer, I've had to adapt in how I care for it. I have a little bit of a medical background and the circles I run in fear beards like the plague due to poor information put out about how uncleanliness, unprofessional, dirty, etc they are... most of which I disagree... I recently read a medical study that clean shaven men actually harbor more threatening bacteria (e.g. Mrsa) than our bearded brethren... it's because the micro abrasions in the skin, warmer, temperatures, etc. allow these bacteria to feed is the theory. Anyhow, back on to reviewing the product. The product matters because looking presentable matters. So the main brands I've been using for about a period of 6 months are: Grave Before Shave, Viking Revolution, and now the Honest Amish regular (not Heavy Duty). I've been using Grave Before Shave the longest as the fragrances have been interesting and the product fairly consistent. The brand logos/art for different fragrances is pretty neat/entertaining too. The hold has been decent overall, but it seems as I go throughout the day it only lasts for a few hours or so before the fly aways kick in and it has a subtly oily residue. Overall, a solid product. Viking Revolution is the first beard balm I began with. I didn't know any better at the time but it made the thinner parts of my beard greasy, stringy/thin, and oily looking. I wasn't sure what was causing all of this, but time and experience have helped me in learning to style a beard that is a few inches from my chest now... I'll probably throw this product away. I don't like it touching my beard. The regular version of the Honest Amish beard balm just didn't hold well and the fragrance was nothing interesting (it's ok, just doesn't stand out much). I'm not much interested in the fragrances anymore, but more so a product that just works and gets me through the day. This version of balm is more like a moisturizer than something to keep flyaway hairs in place. The Honest Amish Heavy Duty Beard Balm is now my default go-to. It does not have much of a greasy feel in moderation, gives my beard a moisturized matte-appearance , and is very easy to get out of the container and apply... texture of a smooth-sticking paste. I'll be using my grave before shave for daily use (running around), but the Honest Amish will be my default go to for a product I know works well and I'm confident in for work and dressing up on occasion. The fragrance is subtle and subsides within the hour. I like this enough that I'm going to order a 4oz container after just receiving my 2oz container within the week. I don't want to risk not having any how this stuff on hand/beard.

Brow Of The Wild
To be honest I only bought this for one reason. I had searched the vast regions of the interweb looking for a solution to my dilemma! I know you have probably heard of the term “bed head”. That’s where you wake up in the morning and depending on how you slept your hair has been compressed and formed into a wild shape. This can take sometimes hours of volcanic heat from a professional hair dryer and tons of take your pick ( hair gel, spray, Mousse etc). Well my top covering has long gone many winters ago. I now sport a magnificent beautiful bald head. However at a certain age and I’m at it I might add hair in other places develop their own personalities. I do tend to keep a full beard or goatee but this is not what I needed Honest Amish for! You might ask then what does a middle age man with a full beard and bald head need this product for? I will tell you! My right eyebrow! I can wake up some mornings and it will be in strange positions. Sometimes I think it’s trying to hold hands with my upper eyelash honestly! I have trimmed and plucked and tried to use hair products to tame this wild beast with no avail! I suppose I sleep in my right side and this is part of the cause of the problem but now I have a solution! A little dab of Honest Amish and a few gentle strokes and that brow succumbs to my will! Now I don’t have to worry about being that guy in Guardian of the Galaxy! My fears of knocking down people with my wild brow that once poked forward have all be quelled! My wife loves the new look! She asked “did you do something with your beard” and I just smile. It’s honest Amish and my little secret! I find the smell of the product pleasing and its effectiveness. for my needs to be highly satisfying. After using it on that one wild brow I decided to use it on my beard and not thinking much of it beforehand. However looking closely I did not realize how unruly it was. I run some in gently and all those protruding beard hairs laid down like wet grass after a hurricane. I can’t guarantee you that it will work for you but it’s worth a shot if you have had the same problem. Give Honest Amish a try!

Good but not exactly heavy duty
Let me start out by saying, you get a large amount of balm with this brand so for the price it's a great deal. The smell, to me is exactly like my straw cowboy hat. It's not terrible and I like it but it's not my preferred scent. The balm is super soft compared to any balm I have used yet. I'd compare it's consistency to a thick toothpaste. I believe this is due to the low amount of wax in it. It's spreads easy and is not overly oily/greasey compared to any other balm I've used. Like all over balms, it keeps the itch and flaky skin away. My biggest and really only negative is the fact that's it's labeled as heavy duty but it's not. That was the entire reason I bought it. However it is the least heavy duty balm I've yet to try. It just doesn't hold down my unruly beard as well as others do. If you have a short beard or easily managed beard, it's a great buy. For me, not so much. Although my beard is very thick and curly. I gave it three stars based on the lack of control it provides considering it's labeled heavy duty and the scent is only ok.
