AKG K52 Closed-back Stereo Headphones

These are the best closed back headphones I've run across for the money with good bass, smooth sound throughout the range,and no particular coloration above the bass to the highs. The only two drawbacks would be that for closed back headphones, the isolation isn't the best, especially for smaller heads, and the overall sound character isn't as airy and open sounding with that almost laser imaging that can be achieved with the open backs, which would be at least twice the cost for those for such tonal balance as these. Sensitivity is also decent and not hard to drive with various headphone amps.

AKG strikes bullseye with this one! Flawless sound, very comfortable fit, quality build, premium look. Excellent product for those seeking audiophile level sound at very affordable price range.

These headphones were recommended to me for my smaller budget, and I am very happy with them. Even wearing them with glasses, they have been good. I had to figure out the right angle to situate them at for best comfort, but they fit snugly and aren't tight. The sound is clear and pretty well balanced from what I can tell. Ignore all the picky audiophile reviews if all you are looking for is a nice pair of headphones that are both comfortable and clear. Great for catching up on shows, or listening to music while you work from home and don't want to bother your roommate with the noise.

I’ve been using the AKG K52 headphones for a while, and overall I think they offer very good value for the price. The sound quality is solid—clear, balanced, and surprisingly detailed considering how affordable they are. For everyday use, music, and general computer work, they perform really well. The only downside for me is comfort. After wearing them for long periods of time, my ears start to feel tired and a bit sore. It’s not a deal-breaker, but definitely something to keep in mind if you plan to use them for extended sessions. Aside from that, they’re a very good budget option with great sound for the cost.

The best thing if you are starting in music production.

These were okay, and I did end up getting a year of use out of them. Unfortunately, I made a mistake when purchasing them initially, because I didn't realise they behave more like "open back" despite the product labelling to the contrary. I use headphones in a noisy environment where "closed back" are necessary, and this easily drowns out anything playing from them. Otherwise, they were comfortable and they sounded fine when I could hear them. They would probably get 4 stars from me if they had properly behaved like "closed back" headphones.

The headphones are high quality for the price, and work in all of my situations like recording or live mixing for concert singer vocals. Highly suggest !

Purchased to use on Ham Radio and does a great job with very good sound quality. Light weight and comfortable for longer periods of listening. Recommended.

sound way better than their price, luxurious sound, with authority and finesse not expected at this price range. superb build! surprising comfort, these are designed for 3-4 hour listening sessions. yes the cushion can be replaced with better alternative, but they just work alright, I am Sardar, so i use them over the turban, so the cushion is perfect for my use (SARDARO parne naal bht vdia use kar hunde a ehe). Go for the K52, it has the best sound, the K72 and K92 are on the brighter side, the K52 have the most balanced tuning.

Die AKG K52 sind für mich als Anfänger im Homerecording absolut Top. Preis/Leistung ist absolut gegeben und für mich mehr als Ausreichend um gute Musik zu machen und zu Hören. Die Polster sitzen sehr bequem, da es geschlossene Kopfhörer sind schwitzt man allerdings schnell mal um die Ohren aber wen das nicht stört wird damit seinen Spaß haben. Für mich als Einsteiger im Homerecording für kleines Geld eine Super Wahl, gute Verarbeitung und bequem zu tragen und mit Top Sound!

Poseedor de varios auriculares, yamaha m100, grado sr60i, superlux 668b, sennsheiser 201 entre otros tantos, este es sin duda junto al superlux el que mas ofrece por menos dinero, es cerrado pero no lo parece tanto cuando lo escuchas, la escena sonora es amplia y consigue separar bien instrumentos, los bajos son correctos, neutros tirando a un poquillo subidos, los medios presentes pero separados del resto de frecuencias sin ensuciar o emborronar el sonido, y los agudos bien presentes, aunque a un nives mas baja que los superlux 668B, en mi opinion tiene un sonido agradable y con matices, se acerca al sonido de mis grado sr60 que cuestan casi 4 veces mas en cuanto a curva. Respecto a los superlux estos ultimos tienen agudos mas afilados y medios menos presentes coincidiendo practicamente en los bajos, respecto a los sennsheiser 201 estos ultimos son mas planos en todas las frecuencias, tan solo un pelin de nada subido los bajos. En cuanto a comodidad una maravilla, ligeros, no aprietan etc etc, pensados para estar largas sesiones con ellos.
