Could I stamp a design on them, just a regular stamp with ink?

I don't know much about stamps and ink, but I pulled out my ink pad to test your question and I am happy to report that the ink did not smudge at all. Even on the glossy paper! I let it sit for a couple of minutes and vigorously smeared the stamp with my fingers. Even though I ended up with ink on my finger, I do not see any on the paper outside of the stamp itself. I know Avery has their web site to help with this, but I am wondering how the printing works? Do you make 1 graphic and place it where the circles are

The Avery software is quite nice to work with.  I have also used Microsoft Word's label printing function, and this works for common labels, but may not know the settings for the more unusual labels.Anyway, after you start the Avery software, it will ask what label you want to design.  For instance for these 2" rounds, you would enter 22807.  The software will then offer a vast selection of pre-designed templates.  You can add text and/or graphics to the pre-defined templates.  You can even develop your own template from scratch.  Once you have entered the label number, the software knows the size and layout of all of the print areas on the sheet of labels.As you update the template, you will see your changes in a graphic which shows all of the labels that are on the sheet.  In other words, you update the design of one of the labels and the software makes the same changes to all of the labels on the sheet.If you wish, you can also set the software to update each label individually on the sheet.  For instance if you want the top left label numbered as #1, the next #2, etc., etc.  Once you have made the changes you want, simply print out the sheet you have designed.Here's a real neat trick.  The Print menu also offers a button to transfer your design to a different label.  Say for instance that you have designed a template for a 2" round label, but you also want the same design in a 2-1/2" round.  Simple tell the program to transfer the design from the 22807 label to a 22830 label.  The program will even scale up your design to fit the 2-1/2" label.  This also works to transfer from rounds to ovals, even to squares or rectangulars!

Question 3

How do you print these things-I don't have the specific label option available on my printer and I'm assuming most people don't.

I used Microsoft Word to print these. You can select how to format your document and Microsoft Word already has all of the Avery product numbers loaded into its system so that you simply enter the number (in this case, 22830) and fill out your labels accordingly. I'm sure other non-Microsoft products also have similar options, but personally I cannot verify.

Question 4

Are these labels safe for use in clothing?

These labels are meant to be applied on hard surfaces, so I would not recommend adhering on clothing. For our Clothing safe labels, we have products such as our non-iron fabric labels # 40720 or our adhesive name badges 5144 or 8395. Thank you.
