Yes.. it is plant based. Does very good for my Doodles sensitive skin.

Is there a dilution rate for this shampoo?

Sorry it took a while to respond ,Amazon page wouldn't come up to answer your question, but you could always dilute it a little Maybe 20% at the most I would say,but it appears the effectiveness of it is best in its very thick form. I thought my wife was crazy to have bought this,but I take our dogs in the shower and use it on their coat and they dry off extremely soft and definitely helped them coat wise so I have found this to be an excellent product and a little goes a long way. Our thick(double coat) 25 lb Yorkie doodle takes about 2 to 3 tablespoons to get all of him well coated but,great great results
