Now you can enjoy all the outrageous fun and laughter of Disney's most legendary comedian as he stars in his very own full-length motion picture! In the great tradition of quality Disney animation, A GOOFY MOVIE is a classic blend of irresistible characters, unforgettable music, and an endearing modern-day story about how the lovable Goof bonds with his teenage son Max on a hilarious cross-country road trip. En route to the ol' fishing hole, they find themselves up to their floppy ears in misadventure! Will Max learn there's nothing wrong with taking after dear old dad ... if he is a little goofy? The question is answered in the showstopping finale when Max and Goofy "crash the stage" at the most spectacular rock concert ever performed! Filled with action-packed scenes, narrow escapes -- even a comic close encounter with Bigfoot -- Disney's critically acclaimed hit comedy is a delightfully memorable adventure your family will love taking again and again!|The film was animated primarily at a new Disney studio in France after character design, art direction, and storyboarding had been completed in Burbank, California.|The nuns who help Goofy sing "Out On The Open Road" appear three other times in the movie: at the diner one of them sticks her head in the picture, at a monster truck show, sitting right behind Goofy and Max, and at the gates of the Powerline Concert. Review: A good old fashioned disastrous road trip movie - A friend asked me to buy this for him. At first I thought it would be funny to say I would buy it for him but take it figuratively and present him with a movie that is goofy, like Spaceballs, then give him what I knew he meant but I decided not to do that. I ordered it and it took a while to get it due to winter storms in different parts of the country. He got a little impatient and I said it's going as fast as it can, this ain't Operation Dumbo Drop. Every time I've told that joke it bombed. He was very happy when he got the movie and I was impressed with the amount of bonus features on the disc. Great value for the money. Review: One of the best Disney movies! - One of my favorite movies of all time!

Endlessly rewatchable
I rediscovered this movie from my childhood in college. It was the perfect length to watch in between my Tuesday/Thursday classes since it was less than an hour and a half long. I watched it once, laughed and smiled the entire time and after my next class I dragged my girlfriend and another friend to watch it as well. That night I got a call from my friend who had more friends he wanted to show the movie to. This word of mouth chain continued for months and I have probably now watched the movie over a hundred times. Every time the movie is hilarious and causes me to smile constantly throughout. I am now out of school, married to that girl and we have a daughter. I plan on showing this movie to our daughter and any other children we have for as long as they'll let me. Why is this movie so good? Aside from the catchy songs and classic Disney Goofy, the themes of teenage social pressure and the gulf between parents and children are timeless. I am convinced that the people who worked on this movie used it as their avenue for some very high brow film concepts too. I have watched this movie with film majors who have watched in awe while rattling off all their film major vocabulary like mise en scene and comments about perspective and camera angles. Little jokes that I never caught during previous viewings that different friends noticed. (The father of one characters in the movie is a bulldog with a crew cut who does nothing but grunt and a friend whose parents were in the military shouts out, "That dad's a Marine!") Can't recommend enough.

So many feelings
This was a gift to myself and it helped me with some baggage. My late father loved this when it came out & I was a tween. We used to go on road trips to the state fair, so this brought back those memories. At the waterfall scene, I had to pause the movie, because I missed him so much, and seeing it happen to Max hit that nerve hard. After I blew my nose and wiped the tears away, I watched the rest and enjoyed the big number. So if you're grown up, it hits differently, but when you're a kid, it's still one of the best animated Disney movies. The movie is full screen, but you don't miss anything from wide-screen aspect ratio. It also comes with some fun bonuses, including an episode of the Disney Afternoon prequel series, the Goof Troop. This is a great addition for your movie collection, and is delightfully.. well.. goofy. They took one of the most loved Disney characters and gave him a great solo project with lots of hilarious moments, from the Possum park to the big concert. The road trip Max never wanted becomes an adventure for a father & son to grow together in ways they never knew they could, and they reconnect as family and besties. Goofy discovers Max is still a good kid, and Max discovers that being a chip off the old block isn't as bad as he feared.

Classic movie, Great quality
PERFECT quality for such a classic film on DVD! The case is thick and very protective. No damage to any part of it. The disc played no problem and was perfect to watch the old movie previews for nostalgia!

Still One of Disney's Best
Wonderful film from the 90s. A great movie for both kids and adults that continues to have just enough heart and soul in a way many animated flicks these days never quite reach. Watched this countless times on VHS as a kid and this Disney Exclusive Blu-Ray release has it looking better than ever. Well worth the purchase.

Still Goofy… Still Perfect.
A Goofy Movie is pure nostalgia in animated form. I watched it as a kid and thought it was just funny and chaotic. Watching it now? It somehow hits even harder — and it’s still hilarious. The music? Absolute bangers. The father-son awkwardness? Painfully relatable. The road trip disaster energy? Timeless. It’s goofy (obviously), but it also has heart. You laugh, you cringe, you maybe tear up a little during “I 2 I,” and suddenly you’re emotionally invested in a cartoon dog dad just trying his best. Still funny. Still quotable. Still a classic. Powerline forever. 🎤✨
