Is this hydrometer dishwasher safe?

Absolutely NOT, there is wax at the bottom of the Hydrometer that will melt and ruin the unit. It is a high temperature wax but it will not withstand the hot water temperature in the dish washer.

Hi, my son is has a school project to measure the amount sugar in different sodas. I search saccharometer and i cant find on amazon.Can this be used ?

You should be able to use this to test the specific gravity to determine the percentage of sugar. Make sure the soda is flat, because the carbonation bubbles can raise the levels giving off a false reading.

The description/instructions on this page says liquid should be 68 degrees but on the vids it says 60 degrees. Which is correct I wonder?
