Q: I am trying ti dye a bed skirt that is 65% polyester/35% cotton. do i need to use dyemore or regulas rit dye and can i do it in the washing machine?

Not in the washing machine. With whichever dye you use, you'll need to do it in some kind of container (I use big plastic totes). If the product is mainly polyester, I would suggest this as apposed to the basic dye. It needs to be able to soak in very hot water, hotter than what goes in the washing machine. Plus, dumping a bunch of dye in the washer might mess up the washer for further use... Could color the next few loads a tad
