Bunion Pad & Toe Spacers

This works very for the bunions on my feet. Comfortable and good pricing.

These are of much better quality than the ones I tried from Walgreens and CVS, which tore within 1 week of use, each time. They are firmer, providing better support, and yet more elastic to better survive the daily tugging of socks. The unified Bunion Pad and Toe Spacer provide much better function than separate pieces. I walk a great deal at work, and had experienced much soreness and pain for months in my right foot due to a Hallux Rigidus condition. Soon after beginning to use these shields, the pain and soreness dropped off by perhaps 80-90%. My foot feels far better now. Now I won't go a day without them. I use them inside all my shoes: Steel-Toe Keen work shoes, Brooks and Nike workout shoes, Ecco loafers and even snug-fitting Sidi road cycling shoes. Very effective. And their Customer Service has been very helpful in answering questions and offering suggestions. Highly recommended.

I had bunion surgery on one foot but not the other as I never want to go through that pain again. Got this to try on the other foot. Definitely helped with my balance and foot pain, however, I think I need to “build up” to longer hours. So far, the longest I’ve had them in was 6 hours (10,000 steps) before my foot began to hurt. I have only tried with sneakers and not dress shoes but I am hopeful that perhaps I could wear a pair of heels again by using these. Very nice that it isn’t just one, it’s actually 4- or 2 pairs.

I wrote a review before on this but, it does not seem to be on site. So, here is goes again. I brought this bunion separator for my husband. He was very pleased with the way it fit and walking all day it was comfortable. The problem is when your feet sweat all day and at the end of the day you go to pull your socks off the side piece gets caught in your sock and tears apart; to make it two pieces not one long piece. Piece in between toes is confortable for all day wear. the bunion support will not work unless it is connected to the bunion separator. When the last of my previous purchase finally tore, I bought a bunch more of these. The original purchase units were comfortable, had a large shield, an appropriate opening, and a narrower toe piece. The new ones have a much smaller shield (the picture here is of the old unit), a wider toe piece (uncomfortable....had to slice off some of it), a smaller opening (which means you have to stretch it more to get it on and it's going to tear quickly), and an uncomfortable angle (the toe piece wants to jut up when in place). I wish I hadn't bought so many and won't be buying anything of Dr. Frederick's again (figure everything is being tweaked this way). UPDATE: Although I thought I'd trimmed this to the point where it was OK, it has obviously been holding my toes a bit raised and now I have pain where I'd never had pain before. My entire order is now being thrown out. Great job, Dr. Frederick...thanks a lot for putting great thought into your redesign. UPDATE #2: When I noticed the comment from the company, I responded and received a full refund for my order. I still can't use the product but seriously appreciate that they reached out to me and immediately processed a full refund. Thank you, Charm!

Did not help and did not stay in place. Horrible product. The supplier (Frederick Medical Supply) sent an email and said they wanted to be sure we were satisfied with the product. When I told them it was useless, they told me to take it up with the manufacturer. So much for caring about the end user.

This bunion corrector is nice and soft, but will take some time getting use to walking with them on. You just have to be careful when taking them off cause I tore one of mine !!

Over the past 8 months I have tried 5 or 6 different brands of bunion correctors. Several of these consist of sets of various gel pieces, each designed for a slightly different function. I finally found a particular piece out of one of these sets that worked particularly well to relieve the pain from my bunions. Unfortunately, that manufacturer did not sell individual pieces and I would always have to purchase their entire set. So my search for “the piece” continued. My last order of bunion correctors came from two different manufacturers. I found Dr. Frederick's Original 2 Piece Standard Bunion Pad & Toe Spacer Set to be a good fit for me. They are soft and stretchy, comfortable enough to be worn with shoes, which is important to me. Since ordering these a couple of weeks ago, I have not gone a day without wearing them. Since I have only been wearing them daily for two weeks, I cannot comment on their longevity. However, at this point they show no signs of wear and tear.
