Will this set work with my Bachmann ho train set

The trains will work but the Bachmann track, with the roadbed, will not connect properly without a bit of work.

What quantity of each item is included in this package?

There are several different starter sets. Mine contained 16 curves pcs, 2 straight and 2 manual switches. Curves are 18 inches.
