The steamer works well as long as you take care of it immediately after you finish cooking. It must be hand washed and thoroughly dried before going back into the cabinet for storage. You have to carefully inspect it after cooking to make sure there's no food stuck inside (if a bao sticks, for example) and that has to be very carefully scrubbed away. Even so, after some amount of time using it, it will eventually need replacing. When ours needed replacing, we decided to replace it with a steel steamer because the care is a little bit less fussy with steel and the durability is greater. This steamer had a pleasant bamboo smell and was effective at cooking the food. I used it over a regular cook pot with a metal adapter ring to make sure the bottom side of the bottom level was well sealed to the pot.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these liners! I typically use a cloth liner or parchment paper, but they're pretty annoying to use, and the cloth is tricky to clean depending on what you're cooking. These silicone liners are very easy to clean, and do not stick to anything. I even use them to line serving plates for steamed food, because often steamed food will start to stick to glass or porcelain as it cools. I will buy more, if I ever need to replace them, but these look like they'll last me a long time.

Just what I needed.

Perfect size that works well for our bamboo steamer set. An additional bonus is it is reusable and that food items won’t stick to it and that clean up is easy.

I needed a bamboo steamer to make some soup dumplings that I purchased. This steamer worked great. Even after washing with soapy water as instructed it still smells like bamboo, but that does not transfer to the food that I have noticed. I do use a liner on the basket so my food doesn’t actually touch the bamboo. If you’re in need of a bamboo steamer, this one was a good price,delivered fast, and does the job.

With the paper liners the dumplings endlessly stuck to them no matter what I did and then I had to dispose of them. But these are so easy to pop in, clean and nothing, absolutely nothing sticks to these things. You get so may of them too. I left my steamer running and the steamer ran out of water, but these things didn't melt or otherwise get damaged. I'm really pleased with my purchase. Eco friendly and useful.

Will definitely last you a while with them being reusable they did its intended job no complaints here

I use these to line my Thermomix Varoma dish, and they work perfectly! They can also be easily cut to size if needed. I’ve used them to steam dumplings, and they work every time. They’re also easy to wash and dry. I used to use baking paper for steaming, but these are much more convenient - the mesh allows steam to pass through evenly.
