In Essence
For a long time, I’ve purchased the cheapest make up brushes I could find. I didn’t even realize how they were intended to work. If you buy cheap brushes, like I used to, you literally waste the product and it doesn’t apply onto your skin as intended. Because I’m an idiot, I was buying expensive face powder or blushes and it didn’t occur to me that the powder or blush wasn’t blending on my skin the way I wanted. Then, I bought my first real, high quality, non-synthetic brush and it was SHOCKING! Not only does the makeup last longer, it also shows up on my skin as I apply so I can blend and use it correctly. You can also see that the brush attaches to the make up and your brush will 9ver time actually turn the color of the powder you’re using. I’m not fancy enough to purchase all my new brushes at Saks, but I do purchase good brushes —like this tapering brush by essence —when they are on sale. I have two daughters that are both makeup obsessed and also like to buy highly over priced makeup, so I buy extras for them since, as I am now educated, we know that dirty brushes can cause infected makeup and bacterial infections on the skin. Since my daughters drop theirs on the nasty bathroom floor on a weekly basis, I have a brushes in stock as needed. The bottom line: these bronzer/tapering brushes are excellent brush at a great price. I love them!

soft and effective
This brush is so soft and it works great to apply my bronzer. Great value.

Good but sheds some
The essence bronzer brush works great. I really like it. Only complaint I have is that some of the hairs of it come out, not a lot but has happened every once and a while. Not a deal breaker for me. I like this brush for a soft bronzer look as opposed to a brush with sturdier or tighter bristle design for a heavier pigmented look. It is a soft and fluffy brush, and the look when using it with bronzer is light and not heavy handed, the look is soft. I like that because I can build it up if I want it darker and more pigmented. It also covers a good amount of surface area with the size of it. If I want it more pigmented I pinch the hairs of the brush together when I use it and that helps some. This would also make a nice blush brush for a natural, soft, buildable look. I would repurchase it but if you have money for a brush that doesn't shed then that is obviously going to be better but this works great for a person on a budget.

Great brush for bronzer, highlighter or even loose powder
Doesn't put too much product on face. You can build as much as you want. Little touch up here and there. Great value too!

Soft and holds up!
The best bronzer brush I have ever used. It is so soft, and applies bronzer so it appears very natural.

They changed it (rip)
RIP they changed it 😭 i thought i was going crazy cause the packaging is also different but then i looked and realized they did make it differently cause the ‘bronzer brush’ text is below where it says Essence when originally they had it on the same line. extremely disappointing since the og brush was my absoluteeeeee go-to for bronzer. og was super fluffy, soft, and had the perfect density to pick up enough product but blend it out seamlessly. new one just seems.. cheaper. not as soft and isn’t as full. mourning the loss of a banger product rn this is so unfortunate for me

Cheap and too thin
I wanted to get a bushy powder brush, but this one is a cheaply made brush and the bristles are very thin and not compact so it doesn't pick up much powder blush. It's pretty useless in my opinion.
