The I LOVE YOU Book

I read this book with my husband and my two children every single night as the last book before bed. We read the “I love you when we are cuddled up close” page twice and all hug. It’s the sweetest and cutest effing thing ever and often the most tender and pure part of my day. I think it’s grounding for them but my god it is SO grounding and special for me. I know that this is one of those little traditions I will cherish and remember forever. Get this book and start your own.

My toddler has been living through a difficult divorce, and I have been doing everything I can to make him feel loved and wanted despite what's going on around him. My therapist recommended Todd Par and I am SO glad that I took her up on it! His books are all amazing and the simple, colorful pictures really appeal to my two year old. He tackles big issues in easily digestible, kid friendly chunks. The 'I love you' book has become a staple read in our house.

We love this series. The graphics are appealing, the quality of the production is excellent, and the "important messages" are well-written. We've bought several, and we intend to buy more for our grand daughter. Very positive and reinforcing! Though she's only a year old, this book (and others from the series) will be read to (and with!) her for years. I suspect that within the next year, she'll be reading them to everyone around her (from memory, of course), as all children tend to do.

I have a list on Amazon of "best baby gifts." It's full of brands I've liked, products that have been absolutely INDISPENSABLE in the first couple of years for my kiddo, books that we loved, etc. Todd Parr is ALL OVER the list. His books are colorful, and silly, and so much fun for little ones to read. On top of it, they're also sweet, and encourage love, empathy, and caring. With all of the messages our kids are surrounded with everyday, it's always nice to find a book that reaffirms just how special they are, how important they are, and how important love in the world is.

This book has cute and simple pictures with a great story. It tells your child that you love them no matter what. It is a quick read, I would say best for children under 6. My 4 year old specifically requests this book for our nightly reading rotation. He has most of it memorized and what he doesn't remember, he makes up by looking at the pictures. It's a book he likes to "read" to me. Any book that my child wants to read multiple times is a winner to me.

I personally do no like this graphics but still give it 5 stars because both my kids 2 year old and 6 year old like it. It introduces basic concepts - emotions and opposites - like happy/sad, scared/brave, stinky/clean in a clear way that babies understand, and my 6 year old finds this book funny - it makes them giggle and smile when we read it. My 2 year old often picks this book from the shelf to read. The last page contains the main idea of the book - Most of all I love you just the way you are.

I love this book. I didn’t read the full description, so it was a surprise that it was a smaller board book vs the size of the one my daughter has, my fault! BUT, it is for a baby shower book-instead-of-card, and my daughter loved it and I used to read it to her every night. My favorite memory is from when she was about 2 1/2, and she read it back to me (from memory, obviously not actually her reading it). It’s full of very colorful kid friendly artwork also.

This book is great for kids of all ages. I read it my 1 yr olds and my 6 yr old as a remind that we love them no matter what. Very cute. Will buy again as gifts.

We enjoy this book in our house. It carries the simple but strong message of "I love you no matter what" without being cheesy or moralistic. It has examples of times when the narrator loves the reader that children can relate to in day to day life accompanied by bright illustrations that children will love.

One of the most loved books by my one year old son. He loves it so much and I love all Todd Parr’s book! :)

I do wish that they would put the sizes of the books! This one is only 15x15cm which was quite disappointing for me, as I need the books for my storytelling in nurseries :( - The cover also came damaged with a tear in the beautiful heart on the front-cover, so, I'll see what the process is on sending it back for a re-placement. But having said all that, I love all the Todd Parr books, so colourful and full of positivity and self esteem for kids from an young age. The 5 books that I ordered were delivered quite quickly, and the other ones were the perfect size approx. 25x25cm :) Sherry
