Great latch for my wooden side gate. Easy to fit and perfect size for me. It’s sturdy for its purpose and great to shut quick close. Stays in place secures my gate and good price too.

This is a really solid gate latch. It’s well-built, easy to install, and holds the gate firmly every time. Mechanically, it’s perfect. The problem is… the sound. Instead of the normal metallic clunk, it plays the Wilhelm scream — yes, the legendary one from Star Wars and Indiana Jones. It was hilarious at first. I couldn’t stop laughing every time I closed the gate. But now, after a few weeks, it’s starting to cause problems. The neighbors keep asking what’s going on, my dog won’t go near the fence anymore, and I swear the mailman flinches when he hears it. I still give it four stars because it works flawlessly — but fair warning: this latch has serious Hollywood drama built in.

Good bit of kit well made good design and easy to fit, good value for money, with good locking mechanism.

Flimsy. very loose. Needed the sides squeezing together to allow the catch to locate over the bar. Bad quality control seems common with Irontite products.

Basique mais fait parfaitement le travail. Pas de ressort, qui aurait pu empêcher les rebonds qui arriventparfois, mais super pour le prix.
