Workplace Skills: Applied Mathematics, Student Workbook (WORKFORCE)

I was never sure of the exact placement for Applied Mathematics. Now that I have this book I can apply Mathematics all over the place!

Not what I expected but would be great for the GED Math part

This book is a great resource to refresh an individuals math skills and acuteness. I would definitely recommend purchasing this book if you are thinking about studying for the WorkPlace Skills Certificate.

Our school district added a requirement for our high school equivalency classes to have a group lesson each class and to include workplace skills as well in our teaching. This book kills two birds with one stone! There is a small lesson or refresher and then 12-15 workplace-based word problems in each lesson. After each section, there is a review test. The students like the book and the lessons are easy to comprehend. The word problems give realistic situations and really illustrate math in use outside of the classroom.
