Grandville emailed to let me know that new versions of the HSK books don't come with CD - but instead have scannable QR code linking to online accessible (and downloadable) audio files. These links are current and work really well. It's the Amazon product description which is inaccurate as Amazon are not able to determine whether you will be sent an old book (with CD) or a new book (without).
