I have a number of spray guns at all kinds of price points. I have nice guns for things like automotive paint. I have cheap guns for nasty catalyzed things that can ruin guns like high build primers. I have pressure pots for... well, not much because they are a nightmare to clean. Since purchasing this, I have not touched any of my other equipment at all (with one exception). We recently built a bunch of composite tooling that required LOTS of catalyzed high build polyester primer. These often have a very short work time, like 10 minutes or less, and I liked the idea of being able to toss the nozzle if the coating went off in the gun. I've probably sprayed 20 gallons of Duratec primer with this gun and the 2.0 nozzles. I've also sprayed some much finer coatings with the smaller nozzles including automotive base and clear. To my surprise, the finish quality was superior to any other gun I've used AND it is super easy to dial in for exactly what you want. Cleanup is a breeze no matter what you use. The supposedly "disposable" nozzles last nearly forever and require very little solvent or time to clean. Before purchasing, I really didn't like the idea of "consumable" waste from the single use liners. However, with the enormous amount of solvent and time you save I think they easily pay for themselves. The only thing I can complain about is that there is no nozzle bigger than 2.0mm. I spray a lot of gel coat as well and the 2.0 is marginal for that. So I do still have to use a traditional dump gun for bigger gel coat jobs. I have actually drilled out an older nozzle to about 2.4 and it works ok, but obviously the spray quality suffers a bit. Since this is targeted at the automotive crowd, 2.0 is huge. But I'd be willing to be there are a lot of people out there wanting to use this for gel coat. Everyone hates messy dump guns and this could totally replace them if they released bigger nozzles. Still, this is an outstanding do-nearly-everything gun and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

I had been buying cheap guns and decided to splurge on a new gun and this one was particularly interesting because I didn't have to take the gun apart to clean it. Painting quality is very good, nice pattern and good control. It is a breeze to swap tip sizes and switch colors within seconds. Comes with 3 different tip sizes and some starter cups along with a regulator. I recommend to also buy a box of disposable cups along with the gun. I went for the 50 pack to get started. If you're ready to step up, you can't go wrong The tips are not single use you can clean them if you want to reuse/ fairly easy.

Great product, easy to clean sprays great. I have used it for big and small projects and I can’t complain.

This is my first spray gun, and the features are great for easy cleanup. Cleanup takes minutes, and the gun is light and feels good. Had problems with the regulator not holding steady, found out if I set my main tank output regulator pressure (80PSI) just below the start pressure (90PSI) it held steady. This did cause the max gun spray pressure to 24PSI. When I contacted 3M support who were very helpful and helped guide me to finding the above resolution said this gun should be used with 13CFM or greater compressors.

Some YouTubers say this isn't the best spraying gun, not great for clear, ect ect. My opinion is a little different. The ease of switching between nozzles,super fast clean up, light weight. There are so many advantages that it doesn't Need to beat the latest Sagola or Iwatta or whatever. The spray pattern when you dial it in is Nice. It sprays Nice and it does the job with all the advantages I mentioned before. The nozzles are supposed to last a long time if you clean them, and I will be. And heres a big tip if you are not in a Big Shop. Lauco sells an adaptor to convert from the very expensive 3m pps 2 to the original pps and all its affordable options... like Harbor Freight. I ordered one at the same time I ordered the gun. Yeah, its one more thing to keep clean. Saving money on those cups, tho. This is going to be the only compressor spray gun I use. Might as well sell all my others. If I want "show car" finish I know how to cut n buff. I also use the Apollo 7700 spray gun and have a turbine system that I like very much and use often!

First time spraying and this gun, was awsome. Easy tonuse, setup was easy agter watching some youtube videos, clean up is really easy for the tips. My only issues was the orange peel on a single stage was a bit more the I'd have liked to see. Deffinitly watch some videos fro. Eastwood and PaintSociety there's a lot of good information out there to help. I didn't really do any testing before hand so I'm not blaming the gun. The paint Clerk told me to use a 1.8 and 3m said a 1.6 so I'm thinking it was a bit big and although i was using a larger compressor on a single 25ft hose my air spraying pressure was lower then I'd like to see. Deffinitly think i need to play around with the system more but still really happy with the purchase. I found I was using at least 2to3 cups per panel just between all the coats so order lots of cups!
