OK...I am giving this pin pointer 5 stars. Not because it is one of the best and not because it functions better than others, but because it worx. I paid less than $40 for two of them. We took them out...newbies...really didn't know what we were doing and within two weeks we have found dozens of coins, jewelry, relics...you name it. This pin pointer did its job in the hands of detectorists that were VERY un-initiated. I think that says a lot. It is pretty accurate, has pretty good depth sensitivity, good sound and haptics it is easy to switch between functions. It has one adjustment button...not a complicated machine. I had it in the water, covered in mud, it was dropped...thrown...yeah...and it kept on keeping on. It lasts for many trips on one 9v battery. It feels good in hand and is easy to tote in the field. It is a cheap, basic pin pointing metal detector. After about 90 days and dozens of trips I bought a couple different and a little bit higher level machines, and while we both like them better, it is not because they work that much better. We still have these. We used them the other day when our others were left at home and we found coins, jewelry and relics...just like we did before. Will they last years and years...I am going to say no, but if you are dipping your toe into the water of this hobby and just want a peek...well worth it. Cheap, simple effective.

This didn't work. The light would light up but no sound, no vibration, no detection. I tried a brand new battery still nothing. UPDATE: Dmyond reached out and investigated the issue. They were kind enough to send me a new pinpointer. The replacement works awesome! Great customer service Dmyond!

I don't have a lot of experience with these but this one surprised me. When I dropped a screw in the yard, I grabbed this and found it immediately after waving it around. Loving it!

The metal detector arrived very quickly. However, the metal detector I received was non-functional. The light would blink three times when I held the power button down then turn off when I released the button. This is the first time I have ever had to return a product from Amazon. The return and replacement process was quick and easy. The replacement metal detector arrived as quickly as the original and works perfectly. It worked well to find something valuable that I had lost.

I bought this handheld metal detector and it works much better than I expected for the price. It's very easy to use, lightweight, and comfortable to carry with the included holster and lanyard. The sensitivity is good enough to detect coins, jewelry, and small metallic objects, and it really helps pinpoint targets after using a larger metal detector. The waterproof feature is also a big plus-I've used it in wet soil without any problems. The 9V battery lasts a decent amount of time, although I recommend carrying a spare just in case. Overall, it's a reliable and affordable tool for kids, beginners, or hobbyists who want to make treasure hunting easier and more fun

Seems to work well. I haven't actually used it on the thing I bought it for and I intend to use it on, which is pallets basically and making sure there's no metal in them before I put them through my planer, but I have ran it over various things in my shed and it did exactly what it said it would!
