Install is a bit tricky, but bell works nicely once properly mounted
This ROCKBROS bicycle bell checks many of the most important boxes, including: 1. Compact size: it's NOT a gaudy-looking or a large obtrusive addition to your handlebar. A big bell or horn would also add unnecessary weight to your ride, though that might only be an issue for climbing steep trails or racing competitively (in which case you wouldn't be needing a bell). 2. Ring tone: this bell is appropriately audible (otherwise why even bother having a bell?), without being excessively loud or obnoxious to the ears. 3. The color options are a nice bonus: you'll have black, gold/brass, and silver to choose from, however due to a few style options (eg. matted vs shiny finishes), there are 8 options, so you can match your desired vibe. My frame and handlebars are black, so I deliberately chose a black bell, for it to best blend-in and not attract attention when my bike is locked-up around town. 4. The mount is not a plastic ring: any lights or bells that I've ever mounted to my handlebars (on any of my bikes) have mounted with a plastic ring (and usually rubber spacers you add as needed, for a snug fit); the plastic eventually becomes brittle (due to age & the elements) and breaks. To be fair, sometimes whatever I've mounted is already at life's end before the plastic mount starts failing, so this may not be a huge issue. However, IF i can avoid purchasing plastics that will essentially outlive life on earth sitting in a landfill, then I always make the attempt to do so. Time will tell as far as durability is concerned. Some reviewers have complained about their bell popping off while they're riding (presumably on bumpy surfaces), which would really suck. The metal mounting strap basically works like like a tension spring; when pinching that metal strap during the install (which is challenging, but you'll eventually succeed with a little persistence) I sensed that tension being sufficient for the bell to stay-put during all normal riding situations. With significant force/impact, such as being hit by a car, or your bike bouncing along the pavement (or down a hillside) after you've fallen, I imagine this bell could possibly pop loose, but in any such situation replacing your little bell is gonna be the LEAST of your concerns. Since the mounting can be difficult, one reviewer suggested pre-bending the metal strap; that would NOT wise, since you'd be losing some of the spring tension, and that's the mechanism by which your bell keeps from dislodging! Following that reviewer's advice will only make your bell more susceptible to popping loose during normal riding. Finally, at the 15 dollar price point this knock-off is about 20 percent the cost of of the original Spurcycle version of this bell. That one is USA made, while this one is imported. If that's important enough to you (and you have the financial flexibility), then go for it. I choose locally manufactured over imported whenever possible, but this price difference was too hefty for my wallet. I'd love to see a review from someone who already owns the Spurcycle bell and would be willing make the relatively small investment & purchase this knock-off, in order to really compare the two (but in the pictures they truly do LOOK identical).

Beautiful
Once installed itโs great. I love the look of it. After almost one year the 3mm tape is starting to break down. Iโm not sure how to replace it without completely disassembling but it would be worth it. I wish they included extra tape in the kit. Itโs also loud and clear in tone. I bike down-town a lot and it works well for pedestrians.

Same ring for 1/2 the price.
Great little bell. Obviously patterned after a more expensive boutique version, but you get the same functionality at a fraction of the price. Bike snobs will not like it, but it is very practical, functional, and budget friendly. Great clear tone. No complaints other than set up was a little difficult with the metal band, but I got it to work in the end. Have used for several years now and its another great Rock Bros product.

Very Similar to More Expensive VARIETY. Nice sound! Instructions in review...
This is a detailed review. I am able to compare this bell to the more expensive variety, that I also own. While I haven't gone biking with the bell yet, I anticipate it will work similar to the more expensive variety. The bell is good and loud and somewhat shrill. But it will do the trick of warning people to get out of the way!. Installation. Many have commented that there are no instructions. Correct. That's why I dinged this one star. However, there is a video that should be quite helpful. It took me about 10 minutes to get this done. I had to use the longer band for my handlebar. To reduce the anxiety of installation, I reco to insert one end of the band into the bell before you start. Position the bell on the handlebar such that you can see the other insertion point for the band. Holding the bell in place, wrap the band around the handlebar and squeeze/push the open end-ended band into the other insertion point. The bell should be fitting loosely but is stably attached to the handlebar. At ths point I applied the silicone strip to the handlebar. I only used half the length for 2 reasons. First, If I used all of it, it became difficult to slide the bell over the strip. Second, you don't need much to protect the handlebar from the band that is in contact. With this in mind, I was able to slide the bell over the strip. After tightening the bell, I got a nice ring from the hammer. However, I noticed that with repeated use, the hammer would not strike the bell. It appeared the hammer spring was the problem. A little WD40 fixed this nicely. The sound is quite similar to the more expensive variety. Net, this RockBros bell is quite nice with a loud ring. The lack of instructions is unfortunate but not a show stopper. You might need some WD40 to get the hammer to strike the bell all the time. As you're spending 15-25% of the cost of the original model, this a V Good Deal indeed!

Poor build quality with inconsistent sound production
This appears to be a copy of the excellent spurcycle bell, but at one fourth the cost. However it is poorly made the spring hinge does not stay fully engaged. Therefore the clapper does not stand back from the bell after striking it, and the result is that it sounds like you rang it with your hand muting the bell. Sometimes it works OK, but most of the time it does not. This bell has poor build quality and it is very difficult to install.

I love this bike bell. Classic. Recommended by a BHF.
I recently added the ROCKBROS Bike Bell Classic Bicycle Bell to my bike, and it has been an excellent addition. This bell combines functionality, durability, and a classic design, making it a great choice for any cyclist. Loud and Clear Sound: The bell produces a loud and clear sound that is easily heard by pedestrians and other cyclists. This is crucial for safety, especially when riding in busy areas or on shared paths. The sound is sharp and carries well, ensuring that I can alert others to my presence effectively. Classic Design: The design of the bell is simple and classic, which I love. It has a timeless look that complements any bike, whether itโs a modern road bike or a vintage cruiser. The sleek finish adds a touch of elegance to my handlebars. Durable Construction: The bell is made from high-quality materials that feel sturdy and durable. It has withstood various weather conditions without any signs of rust or wear. The construction ensures that it will last a long time, even with regular use. Easy Installation: Installing the bell was a breeze. It comes with all the necessary hardware, and the instructions are straightforward. I had it securely attached to my handlebars in just a few minutes. The adjustable clamp fits a variety of handlebar sizes, making it versatile for different bikes. Compact and Lightweight: The bell is compact and lightweight, so it doesnโt add any noticeable weight to my bike. It fits neatly on the handlebars without taking up too much space or getting in the way of other accessories. Great for All Types of Bikes: Whether you ride a road bike, mountain bike, or a commuter bike, this bell is a great fit. Itโs versatile and functional, making it suitable for all types of cycling. In summary, the ROCKBROS Bike Bell Classic Bicycle Bell is a fantastic product that offers a loud and clear sound, durable construction, and a classic design. Itโs easy to install and perfect for enhancing safety on the road. I highly recommend it to any cyclist looking for a reliable and stylish bike bell. Thanks for the recommendation BHF!

Beautiful looks and tone
For a cheap bell, this is very nice. Itโs a perfect and stylish addition to a classically styled or vintage bike. I bought one for my wife and liked it so much I bought a second for my new bike build. The installation is a bit fiddly, just take your time. I was concerned about the metal attaching strap scratching my handlebar but it includes a thick rubber strip that you can wrap around the bar before installing. Best advice is to pre-bend the strap a bit to fit your handlebar. Hold the strap from below the bar with one hand and slide the bell into place with the other hand. The trick is getting the ends of the strap to go into two small slots under the bell. Fiddle with it for a minute and youโll see how it goes together. The screw on top pushes the inside of the bell down against the bar and takes up slack in the strap. Use the included hex wrench to tighten carefully. Ding the bell several times as you tighten - at some point you will over-tighten it and it wonโt ring clearly- then just back off a bit. The tone of the bell is loud, clear and long. Quite a lovely sound for a little bell. Perfect for riding trails with pedestrians to give notice of your approach.

Functional and Cheap but Sharp and Shrill
I have a large handlebar gravel bike and was struggling to find a bell that fit. This one fits using the larger metal piece (comes with one large and one small). Install was medium difficulty using instructions on the listing. No instructions come in the box. Medium difficulty install because it was tedious - metal band difficult to bend and you have to center it perfectly on this rubber adhesive strip they send with the bell to keep it from marring your handle bars. Sound of the bell isnโt pleasant. I used to have a more classic bell with a charming friendly ring. This one is loud but also quite shrill. Iโll probably scare people out of the way on mixed use trails. J/Kโฆ kindaโโฆ :) I included a video for reference. Once installed it is quite stable. Be sure not to over tighten it, or it could dampen the bell ring. You have to install it to really hear it properly. For the cost, it does the job and looks decent. I like that itโs small. Wish the Knog OI bell fit my bars better and felt higher quality. This one seems like it will last a lot longer than the Knog but only time will tell.

Worth the price
It is not overpriced, the quality is very high, the size is small, but it is very loud and soothing. Built quality is excellent, every geared cycle owner should consider it as it is quite easy to install and won't interfere with the gear shifters. I just hope they come up with a larger bell for a bit lower frequency.

Good bell, odd shaped attachment
I like the bell, it's got a great loud but at the same time subtle accoustic ring, the method of attachment is odd and is difficult to attach to my handle bars, I don't know why they don't use a normal screw attachment
