Much better than stock Steelseries Artis 9 ear pads
Unfortunately the cooling gel part is not as advertised. The pads are well insulated meaning they block a lot of outside sound and also lock in ambient temperature. If you live in a hot climate (90°f + ) like I do they will not keep your ears cool. That being said I use my headset 8 hours a day and I've never taken it off for being too hot while using these earpads. The pads are very comfortable and easy enough to put on. 9/10 would reccomend.

Comparison to Original ATH-M40X Pads & Instalation Tip
I'm surprised. I prefer my replacement earpads over Audio-Technica's original pads. To compare, I initially replaced only one of the two earpads and then wore my earphones for an hour while I listened to a podcast. What I discovered was that not only was the new pad comfortable, it was more comfortable than the earpads that came with my ATH-40X headset. (The old ones had started to flake apart, so they needed to be replaced.) The photos provide a visual comparison. The photo on the left, with the headset in my hand, illustrates the original pad on the left and the new, replacement pad on the right. It is the opposite in the photo of the two earpads separated from the headset. When viewing the two photos, you'll notice that the new earpad is slightly thicker (with more padding) than the original. It is also larger in diameter. However, as the photo also illustrates, the new pad's interior (ear) space is less rounded and slightly smaller than the original. Nevertheless, my ears fit into the new pads just fine. Overall, this seems to be a great product and a good value. But I do think these make my ears slightly warmer than when I was using the original, factory earpads. Installation Tip: Initially, I tried to install the new pad in a circular direction. That didn't work well. However, when I changed my method, clamping the headset between my legs, and then working to install the new earpad from the bottom upward, stretching it into place on both the right and left sides at the same time, the installation was a snap.

True to title
They feel great on my head I don’t even know that they are there. The noise cancellation is great at first they looked large making it think it wouldn’t fit on my big head comfortably but it fit perfectly. I love how they feel they do keep the cooling bonus points if you’re in a cold environment. They made me feel like I bought new headphones

Does its Job!
a repeat customer of Defean after using them to fix and replace my Audio Technica M50xs over the years with earpads and headband covers. I've tried the flannel style earpads and they feel soft and comfy but still suffer from lock term use heat. Decided to give this version of earpads a try and glad they do the job! I do feel a cooling sensation with them on but over time it will lose the cool but it stays at a reasonable temp and not feel warm over long term use. Just take off your headphones and let them sit for a while and put back on the they cool will reset. comfort is nice with the material unlike the original leather when this is a fiber material memory foam type of feeling and the cool gel inside is a plus. definitely good replacements for my headphones.

Great replacement
A bit tight to get on the Arctis 9's, but once they're on they fit really well and are comfortable on my head. While not being advertised for noise cancelling, the most annoying frequencies from PC fans are muted pretty well which is appreciated. Overall a solid upgrade, and definitely what you should go for if in need of a replacement.

Better than the ones that shipped with the original
These replacements are actually much nicer than the Steelseries original cushions. My ears feel better, I don't heat up as quickly, and I could be wrong but the sounds even seem cleaner.

Super goofy and comfy
Changing to these ear pads was easy and uncomplicated. I immediately felt a difference in comfort, it does trap in heat a little bit after wearing it for awhile.

They are overall comfortable, and the cooling pads definitely helped with heat problem I had with sponge earpads on my arctis 3 headphones. Material feels soft on my ears too, easy installation. Leaving your headset off for a few minutes will cool the earpads fast.

I was searching for a replacement earpads cushions for my Steelseries arctis 7p+ headset and finally after alot of trouble found the best earpads in every aspect, they are so comfortable, exactly what I was looking for, really happy with this product. I have also tried the WC and believe me it's no where near defean comfort wise.

I bought these for under $25 CAD because WC was $45 CAD. Superficially they look exactly the same, these actually look a tad stronger. But after 20 minutes of wearing them the temperature change is noticeable. On a HyperX Cloud2 wired, when listening to music, I feel a sense of sound isolation where i can tune into the music better as opposed to external noise cancellation. These are far superior to the stock cushions. I hate knowing that the stock protein leader will chip and flake in a couple of years. My summary: I like the cloth dry weave material. I just wish that there was a thicker heat dissipating gel pad. The cushion under the gel pad is not as spongy as WC cooling gel pads, they neither bounce back or are as soft, but at half the price, you get what you pay for. Definitely better than the stock cushions for HyperX Cloud2 ear cushions but not on the level as WC. Save the money if these are for your kids, or your 3rd set of ear cups while your main cans are cooling down in a marathon gaming session, but get WC's for your main headset

Got these as the original covers on my headset starting to peel. They are decently comfortable and don't interfere with sound. I will say, these have been the hardest to put on compared to other ear covers, took me 20 minutes to fit them onto my HyperX cloud headset. The cooling jel is nice but not extremely noticeable, if kept in a cooler room you'll definitely feel it. A little stiff and squared off which I hope will alter with a few wears but we will see.

Packaging was pretty simple and easy to install. My foam pads on my SteelSeries Artis 5 randomly fell apart so I wanted something a little more comfortable. Saw these and had to have them. I don't feel any cooling sensation when on but the padding the earcups have are pretty decent and isolate quite a bit of sound compared to my old foam ones. 4stars as I don't feel cooling but the earcups themselves are really nice.
