Lift-the-Flap General Knowledge

Very good book for young ones who are just starting off their schools. Makes them curious to see what is under the flaps and the facts are just awesome.

Bellissimo libro in inglese per far scoprire il mondo ai bambini. Mio figlio a due anni già lo guarda e alza tutte le alette, ovviamente fra qualche anno porta anche capire cosa è scritto. Comunque è abbastanza robusto, ha le pagine un Po spesse e non lo rompe. Dopo aver scoperto questo libro ho preso anche altri della stessa serie, ce ne sono tanti e tutti ben realizzati.

Es muy interesante y atractivo para mi hijo. Lo volvería a comprar!

About the seller and delivery: I bought this book yesterday on 19th Dec as a rushed Christmas gift, and it’s delivered today! I’ve been eyeing this for some time now but found it on an expensive side, now as the price dropped under 5£ I’d say it’s a great purchase. Thus I’m writing this review quickly in case someone needs. It was packed as it is, in a cardboard envelope without any wrapping but had no wrinkles or damage, so came in a perfect condition.Might not be the same case as it’s depending on the gentle hands of the delivery guys. The book’s condition is totally new, no flaps were open. Saw some comments saying that it was a used book, luckily our one came in a perfect condition. About the book: It’s a great, well informative Usborne book for kids. It is hard backed and approximately A4 paper sized with 15 hard pages. It has many flaps in every page, some small, some larger with a tiny gap to open easily, so kids can keep attention while learning. Flaps stay somewhat ajar when opened but don’t look bad. I’d say it’s appropriate for kids over 5 years old at least to grasp the knowledge in it and not to tear down the flaps as my toddler does to her flip flap book’s occasionally. Would be better for a 6-7 year old even. The book consists of knowledge of different aspects in every page from our world to science and art. And also has a true/false and quiz section in the last page. I find it entertaining but too generic. It’s basically like pop up facts ie. “did you know that bats are the only mammals that can fly?” kind. And some made not much sense like this one from the book: “Caterpillar tracks were first mass-produced for tanks in the WW1”. I feel that’s kinda useless for this book and it doesn’t explain what a caterpillar track is so I expect back up questions coming and I’d be searching online, lol! Also It has a link on the back for more facts and stuff, which looks interesting. (Type “general knowledge” on search bar of usborne.com/quicklinks). Overall, I suggest buying it when the price dropped and as a gift. I bet for real learning experience there are many other and more useful books around but not looking interesting and gift worthy as this one.
