Same exact 21 games as the US version! All in English as well!

What is the difference between the eu version and the us version?

Functionally, there is no difference. It just looks different (better, in my opinion). You can still play it in the USA, and you can still play the USA version in Europe.

Does it play original Super Nintendo games

There are games loaded onto it but the cartridge slot is just to make it look like the original. It is not functional. You can upload games to it. I have not tried it yet though.

ordered this as a gift for my husband who has been wanting the nes classic but haven’t found it available yet.. did I do ok or will he be bummed

I'm sure I'll be happy; many games here are follow-up of the standard NES one. I, myself, was more of the NES generation and bought the two and had equal amount of fun on both ;)

Is actually Super Famicon

Alright, thinking that might be a scam or not, I tried my luck. And lucky me, I got myself a Japanese super famicon which I was looking for before this. Overall I’m happy but if you want the European version maybe you should contact seller.
