Not nice smell
The brand is different comparing to the one in the picture, I received the bottle without the box and, most of all, even though I love vanilla, the smell is not nice and not reminding vanilla at all. Overall, quite upsetting.

The smell isn't super strong, but it is noticeable. Smells more like butterscotch to me, but I can also smell a creme soda scent which is what I think they were going for. It's definitely not a straight vanilla smell, it has that buttery tinge to it. But if you like either of those scents, you'll like this one! After a while of being on skin, I noticed the smell takes on this weird medicinal scent to it but maybe that's just my skin reacting with it. (If you are tempted to taste it, I'd say don't. It tastes very bland and slightly bitter. Don't let the smell fool you.) I've found it stays massageable for a very long time. You only need a little, because a little goes a long way. Some massage oils absorb too fast and you have to just re-apply and re-apply, but this seems to have some staying power. And when you've had enough, I've found it's easy to wipe up, no matter how much or how little there is on the body. (It doesn't take forty million towels to wipe up, thank god.) Still, it's pure oil so I'd say put some disposable towels (not your nice guest towels) or something for any spillage or clean-up. And I washed my hands after using it and it leaves them dry, non-greasy and also baby smooth :) Little side bonus.

I was excited about this product because I love their Tea Tree Oil and have used it for a long time. I might have not considered the product, but the idea of it being good for a couples massage sold me because I got into a new relationship just a few months ago so this seemed like fun and it didn't disappoint. I was a little concerned I wouldn't like the smell as I'm not a big fan of vanilla scented things, but to my surprise I actually did like it. My girlfriend loved the scent. The oil was quite soothing and I actually have dry skin at time so it did a great job moisturizing it!

During the height of my pandemic, I started trying out new hobbies in an attempt to cure my isolation boredom. I discovered that I'm a very below average cookie baker, but also found that I was naturally good at giving massages. Yes, sometimes the massages BECOME sensual even if they weren't intended to be.. But the majority are legitimately deep tissue and of the non-sensual variety. I believe this vanilla scented massage oil was the third or fourth that we eventually tried and is hands-down our least favorite of them all. The consistency of the oil itself isn't too bad, but it does tend to get sticky depending on body heat and room temperature. We also found that it doesn't absorb into skin easily and left minor stains on a few of our towels. I also think the bottle could benefit greatly from a pump dispenser. The flip-up cap that it comes with can leave you with a messy bottle from having to close it with oily hands. Our biggest complaint, by far, was the scent of the oil itself. What was advertised as a vanilla cream scent actually ended up smelling like melted crayon wax. It also tasted like a crayon and left a film in my mouth, but that's beside the point... It also turns out that smelling like a daycare coloring book is a guaranteed way of killing all of the passion in the room. Who would've thought? My wife and I could only tolerate it for two uses before we poured the bottle out and tossed it in the trash. If you're interested in a premium oil, I'd suggest getting Nooky's coconut-scented massage oil instead. Yeah, it's kinda weird that the brand is named "Nooky," but it's an awesome oil and is easily our favorite so far. The coconut scent is light, the oil is long-lasting and absorbs well, and it won't leave behind any stains. Oh, and umm... the taste is pleasant. The Nooky brand oil also ends up being a better value, as you get twice as much oil (16oz) for only $6 more. I feel like this could be a great oil with some tweaks (and a vanilla cream fragrance overhaul). As the product stands right now, I cannot recommend it.
