Yes, it does have a small magnet on the back that is sufficient to support the device.

What's the warranty on this meter?

Actually I had an old UEI multi meter and my HVAC supply house said they had a lifetime warrranty on those meters and exchanged my old one for free.You cant beat that. The only that was wrong with mine was that the NCV tip had bent. Other than that this meter has been awesome and has out lived other more expinsive namre brands. You can't go wrong with tis meter.
