Q: What's the best way to dispose of the dead flies and how to clean the trap?

It keeps working even as the stinky liquid dries up, so I let the container mostly dry out and then dig a hole and bury the contents due to the stinkiness. You could let it dry out all of the way. You don't really need to "clean it" after dumping out the dead flies - just add new attractant. A bonus is that birds start hanging around and swoop down to catch the flies before they even enter the container. They are reusable and the least expensive "trap" of this style. You can buy refills of the mix to make the smelly attractant. I clean them up and bring them in for the Winter and they last for years. I really like these - I have used them for years and they work really well!

Q: Does it works for mosquitoes?

I’m not sure, but I don’t think so. I’ve never seen any mosquitoes inside.

Q: Are you suppose to mix this up, it does not say on package and the stuff is just sitting at the bottom of trap?

I just drop the clear film with the fly attractant to the bottom of the jar and add water to the line. The film dissolves and mixes with the water. The idea is to not have to touch it, due to the smell. You could carefully swirl the jar around to speed the mixing along. I've used these for years and they are effective - very effective.

Q: How far away does the attractant work? Curious how close I must put it to where we sit.

Mine is about 100m away from where we sit and it works really well. My only complaint is sometimes I can smell the attractant if the wind is blowing towards us. It’s pretty strong.

It really REALLY works but...

It's super gross and smells really bad. I can't imagine trying to empty the thing. I gagged just closing it up and putting it in the trash. Initially I was going to reuse it but when I caught a whiff of it I decided I was OK with throwing it out. Wearing a mask would probably help and by this time, everyone should have one around.However, IT REALLY WORKS!! It works and just keeps working until flies are eight fingers deep. The smell didn't seem to carry as much as some people have said - I was usually sitting about 6 to 8 feet away from it and could only occasionally catch the lightest scent. Believe me, if I had caught more than a light scent, I'd have gagged and would remember that!I'll probably buy another one sometime soon. I was the best fly trap I've ever bought.

Works like a Charm but stinks

Works like a charm but even if its full, let the liquid dry up. DONT dump out the dead flies liquid still in it anywhere near you or else you will be swarmed. Looking for replacement packets right now
