will it keep unwrapped slices fresh?

Absolutely! We have had ours for months and love it! I have also given them as little gifts for those that I see just throw their opened packs of sliced cheese in the cheese drawer. They have loved it as well! It is sturdy and snaps shut for keeping the slices fresh. I highly recommend this cute little cheese holder!

what are the demension

Not as advertised; Height is 3.75", Width is 3.65", Depth is 3.0". May fit some brands of sliced cheese but not all.

It shuts tight, but I do not think it would keep unwrapped slices fresh. I rarely put unwrapped slices in it, and when we did, they dried out slightly on the edges. Which is what I said in my first response.
