Why is this referred to as a “ beater “ watch when it’s a beautiful $500 watch?

Beater is just an expression that one person used to describe this really nice watch. I now have about 20 Casio watches, most of them are Multiband 6, which updates every night. Some of them are Bluetooth, like this one, which are good if you travel to somewhere that does not have a broadcast atomic clock channel, like Australia. This watch can connect to your cell phone and get a time update that way. With all of the other features built in, like alarm, timer, stopwatch, world time, and calendar, these watches are the best.
