Zorgamazoo [Weston, Robert Paul] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Zorgamazoo Review: Wonderful rhyming story - I got this book for my 9 yr old daughter to read with her grandma, as both of them like poetry & I enjoyed reading the 1st few pages on desertcart. They have been reading chapters of it over the past week & they love it. It is a wonderful tale that has a few twists. It's well written & the way they printed it is original (Daughter & grandmother's own words). I love hearing them reading it out loud. This is my Daughter's review: The name of this book is Zorgamazoo, written by Robert Paul Weston. It's about a curious young girl named Katrina and Morty, who is a shy zorgle that gets pulled into an adventure by Katrina. They are kidnapped and taken to the moon, where they try to save the planet from an evil plot of boredom. This is a fictional story written in rhyme, and is very easy to read and follow. My favorite part is when Katrina gets kidnapped and sneaks into the boredom machine and turns the boredom into enchantium gas, which is the opposite of boredom. I loved this book because it was very touching, and it had humor that made the sad parts light. It also showed us the wonderful friendship between Katrina and Morty. I recommend this book to everyone, especially to kids who love adventure and humor. Read it! Review: Enchanting and Inspiring - Fantastic characters, adventures, and danger. This book is humorously dark, yet positively uplifting. Great for boys and girls and grown-ups too. After reading this book, you will want to speak in rhyme all the time! The story itself covers a lot of ground with the challenging scenarios that kids inevitably have to deal with in real life, such as bullying, strangers and death, just to name a few. The fact that the entire story is written in rhyme and has fanciful characters distances the reader so that it is not so scary, and yet is a suspenseful page-turner that will keep you reading into the wee hours of the morning to discover the fate of Katrina and Zorgamazoo.

This is a Great Story!
This book is best read aloud, it's like Dr. Seuss on steroids! The story is fantastic, fun, and has a great message for kids! I've had about 4 copies of this book, and keep giving them away

Favorite read-aloud of all time
I have three sons -- 12, 8, and 5 -- and have read to them since they were infants. I started with Dr. Seuss and picture books. As they have grown older, I've read Roald Dahl, Tove Jansson's Moomintroll series, Tolkien, CS Lewis, the Harry Potter series, as well as all of Percy Jackson & the Olympians. That's a lot of books over the course of twelve years. Without a doubt (and the vote was unanimous), Robert Paul Weston's Zorgamazoo is our absolute favorite read aloud book. It's a well crafted, fun story --- completely in verse! Magical! If you love reading to your children as much as I do, get it! You won't regret it, and you may find yourself (as I have) reading it to them more than once!

A Romp of a Time told by Robert Paul Weston in Rhyme
An entire adventure about two unlikely characters, a little girl named Katrina Katrell and a Zorgle named Morty, searching for and trying to rescue the Zorgle's of Zorgamazoo, all told in Dr. Seuss style meter and rhyme. What's not to like? The illustrations and the inventive typography add greatly to the humor. And the language doesn't speak down to readers of any age, with words and phrases like "pilasters," "Stygian black," "corporate account," "nefarious creep," "voluminous suits" and references to such as "Freddy Astaire" along with "Phillip Marlowe... Sherlock and Watson or Hercule Poirot." Read it aloud to a kid... or read it aloud to yourself, and enjoy all sights and sounds of fabulous adventure. I had a blast reading it!

Das Buch ist einfach toll. Meine Tochter ist begeistert und es macht Spaß das Buch zu lesen. Die Geschichte ist auch sehr spannend und mitreißend, auch wenn sie an manchen Stellen ziemlich schockierend scheint.

This is the most amazing book. As I read it I wanted to tell everyone READ THIS! Would suit 7 yr olds to adults as it works on many levels. It really was just like Dr Seus but a full length novel. The sentence scanning was flawless as were the rhymes. I could see this appealing to reluctant readers in particular as one feels compelled to read it out loud. Buy this for yourself and all your friends. Spread the word about a remarkable book. No child should be deprived of the chance to enjoy this.
