Very high quality, use it with any tools, to make tools safer.
Beware this does have an 18 awg (American Wire Gauge) gauge power cord. You can run 10 amps on an 18 awg cord, according to U.S. laws and NEC code. If you're running a 15 amp power tool, you should use 14 gauge for short distance wiring, or 12 gauge for long runs. When you use 18 gauge wire, you really need to be limited to things like routers, sanders, bench grinders, and 1/2 horsepower saws. If you're running a table saw (13 to 17 amps) you could overheat the wires on this switch. Anything with a 1/2 horsepower or smaller motor will work fine with this switch. I had really good results using it with a 10 amp radial arm saw for hours and hours of use, with no loss of power. For larger continuous duty tools, you cannot use 18 gauge wire, because it's not approved by the NEC for building wiring specifications. Their chart says that you need a minimum of 16 awg wire for 13 amps; 14 awg for 15 amps; and 12 awg for 20 amps. 10 awg wire is rated for 30 amps. Regarding this switch, if you could replace the cords with 14 awg wire, it would be ideal. The switch itself is high quality, it has a good solid feel when you push the start button. And it's very easy to shut off, requiring very little effort. I mounted this switch under a radial arm saw, on the edge of the table, so you can do rip cuts without trying to fumble with the radial arm power switch which is located near the motor. This is a really good product, and for the money, I will be buying another one, because it's a good value. Be careful opening the package, it was shipped in a loose bag, and I didn't realize there were wires inside, so I cut open the bag with a razor knife and cut into the 18 awg power cord on this switch. That's my fault! I'd advise buying a dedicated "table saw switch" if you're planning on running a large table saw, because it will likely come with 14 awg wires. But this one will work great for smaller tools.

This switch works perfectly. Adds another safety element when using power tools.
This switch works great. I built a mobile workbench that has my table saw and router built in. I put two switches near the edge which allows me to turn off the tool with my leg or hip and keep my hands on the wood being cut. It's a great value and I like the size. Instructions aren't needed as the installation is straightforward.

Very convenient
Works better than I was expecting. It made a real difference in convenience vs reaching down behind my router to turn the dust collector on and off. This puts the switch right next to the table where it is convenient. The plastic it is made of seams reasonably strong to last trough what I will do with it.

Good heavy duty plastic.
The box is much better quality than a plastic junction box. The placement of the bottom mounting hole is stupid because you have to unscrew the cords from the box to make room for a drill. Better quality overall than I expected though. Would buy again if needed.

Easy DIY Replacement for Table Saw
I replaced the original on/off switch on my old Craftsman table saw with this paddle switch. I used a piece of flat aluminum to attach the switch to the table saw. The entire project took less than one hour and the paddle switch is much safer than the original. Very satisfied with the results! Other than fabricating the mounting plate, it’s a completely plug & play replacement. Very easy for a DIY project.

Works great for my router table
Using this on my router table and it works perfectly. I kind of wished I'd got a hardwired switch just for my set up, but this is super convenient if you need to plug in your tool and have an easily accessible power/stop switch.

Nice tool switches
5th one for my woodshop power tools now. MAYBE a little on the light side if you put it on a 2hp table saw and rip 8/4 continuously, but I have seen no issues on my '95 craftsman 113, twin '57 MBF RAS, or a Delta 14" BS. I appreciate the size, ability to fit in a spot, functionality, and the similar" emergency bump stop" on my sharps. There is no "lockout" key or tab on this style - which is OK and works in my shop, for me anyway. This one went on the vintage Craftsman router table recently dug out from the nether regions to use on multiple router table setups, for things like rails and stiles. She's a screamer from '85 for sure...

I like the fact that it was literally plug and cut. No working on connections and most importantly I now have a safe panic button when using the old saw that has rithing knife. Will be buying another for my next project.
