Helinox Protective Ground Sheet Accessory for Camp Chairs

Bought this for the chair zero highback (as recommended by the manufacturer) and it works great. The feet do not dig into the soil and it offers more balance on less than flat surfaces. It can be a little tricky to press the legs of the chair into the slots of this ground sheet, but is by no means difficult. It is lightweight and I can actually roll this up and pack it in the chairs stuff sack. It doesnt fold very small but it rolls up well enough to fit in the chairs stuff sack. I have the white chair, and the black compliments it well.

Helinox chairs are great, but a few models have pointy plastic feet. Even in a grassy field where it isn't that wet the chair can still sink in. It isn't always a problem, but at the very least makes the chair sit lower, and at worst can get the chair stuck or cause you to lose the feet off the ends of the poles. The ground sheet is here to solve that problem! This item works great on any soft soil, gravel, or sand.The ground sheet makes the chair not only usable but much more stable on almost all loose surfaces and I tend to use it almost always except for the driest of ground. It is made well very well with the same quality you get with the Helinox chairs. It has 4 plastic pads that slip over the feet of your Helinox chair. Like the chair itself it can be a bit difficult to slip the groundsheet over the feet at first until you get the hang of it. It is rectangular so make sure you have it oriented correctly. It also has a strap that clips around the bottom support of your chair. This makes the whole thing even more snug and stable. You can see in the pictures that the wider plastic feet increase the surface area enough, but then the sheet itself adds even more to make it even more stable on sand or very loose dirt. The ground sheet fits nicely into the chair one bag, so no need to worry about finding a bigger bag. It even fits the helinox cup holder as well. These two items have made this fantastic chair into the absolute perfect camping chair for my needs.

Love my Helinox chair. This is 100% necessary. Weighs nothing. Worth the few bucks to make an amazing chair perfect. Prevents the chair legs from digging into soft soil, sand or whatever, very stable.

Very tight fit but small enough to be packed in the same bag with the chair easily. I use it with my sunset chair and it works well and helps prevent the chair from sinking into softer grounds.

Awesome additional to your chair - keeps you from sinking into the ground and stable. Does not add much weight to the overall system for what you gain in function.

Anyone who’s used portable camping chairs in snow or sand is already familiar with the pain of sinking into the ground while sitting. This products is very easy to attach to the chair, fits perfectly, and overall makes the chair much more comfortable. The weight is “okay”, but if you’re carrying a camp chair in the first place, you’re probably not going ultralight. Very happy to have purchased this.

Works great with my Chair Zero! I also tried it with the Chair Zero Large and the Highback version — it does fit, but be aware that it puts quite a bit of tension on the legs. Still, a solid addition if you're okay with a snug fit.

Heading out on a 6 day coastal adventure. The chair is lightweight and comfortable. The bottom skirt will allow me to sit in the sand without sinking.

Das Helinox-Groundsheet ist ein „must have“, wenn der Stuhl von einer etwas schwereren Person und/oder auf weichem Untergrund genutzt wird. Für den Transport bzw. die Lagerung wickle ich das Groundsheet um das zusammengelegte Gestängebündel und ziehe den integrierten Spannriemen leicht an. Lässt sich dann problemlos mit in dem Packsack verstauen, wenn sorgfältig vorgegangen wird. Lässt sich am Stuhl sehr leicht anbringen. Nach anbringen des Groundsheets sollte der Spannriemen um die Basis-Querstange gespannt werden, um einen Teil der bei Belastung entstehenden Biegekräfte des Gestänges zu kompensieren. Das Groundsheet erweitert nicht nur die Nutzbarkeit des Klappstuhls, sondern erhöht auch die Lebensdauer des Fuß-Gestänges! Die zusätzliche Investition tut zwar weh, lohnt sich aber unter dem Strich.

Passt perfekt auf die Füße vom Stuhl (Sunset Chair) und mit in die Packtasche. Wirkt sehr stabil und hochwertig, kann man nur empfehlen.
