Under Armour Dual Action Ball Pump

Great little pump, especially to keep in your ball bag. I haven't checked the accuracy of the gauge to see if its dead on, but we're only talking about between 3 and 13lbs for most athletic balls [unless you're in New England! :)] This dual action pump will pump a really flat ball up pretty quick and has a nice pressure release valve on the back in case you go over. PROS - easy to use - nice gauge with marking for several athletic balls - dual action - pressure release valve - pump handle is large enough even for big hands - comes with 3 needles (each needle has a gasket for a nice tight seal CONS - not a big fan of the rubber hose and would prefer the standard fabric braided hose common on most pumps - plastic threads on the hose and pump handle may not last; I plan on leaving mine connected all the time *Would prefer metal screwing into metal, but the current construction is a nice tight fit. For initial installation, I would be careful not to cross-thread the hose to the handle.

I play multiple sports on a weekly basis, some of them competitive leagues, and it's often the case that I need to pump one of the match balls. This is where the pressure gauge comes along, as it really helps setting the right pressure for each of the sports - one thing I love about this pump is that is has built in markers for different sports already printed in the gauge. I've had another pump before that unfortunately broke due to poor construction, and where that pump failed this one really excels. I take it around with me in my sports bag without even caring that it's there, and after having it for months I can safely say this is a great item. Inexpensive, and does an awesome job. I highly recommend it.

Great pump with gauge and air release button so you can pump, check pressure and release air all in one insertion of the needle. When I first saw it when opening I thought oh great another cheap item. Few days later at youth basketball practice had to air up 5 basketball's and it went fast in part to the dual action pump. Pumping in and out puts air in the ball reducing pumping time coupled with the other benefits mentioned earlier in regards to the needle, gauge and releasing air if needed. Overall I'd definitely buy this if I lost or wore mine out and I highly recommend it.

6 Month Update - it's worked like a champ! Needle hasn't broken nor been lost. Pump gauge has worked consistently - so no Deflategate with me. And the pump itself works fast. All in all, an excellent product. Though I still wish they'd move the pressure release valve.... Original - Works just fine. I agree with others that the release valve is positioned poorly and I agree with others that it would be nice to have a place to store the needle - they break easily, so having a spare is essential.

I play and referee soccer pretty regularly. This is a great little pump to toss in your bag. The built-in pressure gauge is very helpful as a ref to make sure all game balls are pressurized equally and within regulation guidelines. The pump works well and is pretty efficient, and I like having the pressure-release button on the back for those times when you get carried away and over-fill a ball. Remember to tighten the connection between the pump and cord before each use since it can get loosened in your bag.

This pump has a built in pressure gauge. Before I got this pump, I used to pump my basketballs you to where I thought they needed to be and then use a separate pressure gauge to see his close I am to my preferred 8 psi. Switching back and forth from a normal pump to the pressure gauge is time consuming and cumbersome. This pump resolved that issues. It has a built in pressure gauge that gives an accurate reading after each pump. The size of this pump is ideal and it also has an ergonomic handle that fits in my hand perfectly.

This is by far the best small pump i've owned. The last pump of this size i purchased worked about two times of inflating my basketball before becoming ineffective. This Under Armour pump is even better than I imagined--it is virtually effortless, and brought my ball up to its proper pressure within three or four pumps. The built-in gauge is a real bonus, making it incredibly easy to reach the right pressure. This pump is a bit more money than my previous small dual action pump, and worth every penny--a wonderful product!

I like the operation of the pump itself, and wanted one like this with a gauge in line to reduce the number of needle insertions during our club volleyball season to try to increase the life of ball valves which seems to be what usually fails for me. I've had two of these now. First one, the gauge worked great at first but after only about 2 weeks of light use it stopped reading 0 psi at rest and shows 4 psi (my first picture). So I asked amazon for a replacement which arrived today and right out of the box the new one is already off and showing 2 psi at rest (second picture with pump handle is still in plastic wrap). This may not seem like much, but when you're using it for sand vballs meant to be played at 2.6 to 3.2 psi that's a lot of adjustment. I'm going to just deal with the error since it does seem that if I subtract the starting psi from the final psi when connected to a ball that I'm getting sorta close numbers (re-checked with yet another gauge). Although the bezel unscrews and will release the gauge so you can inspect it, that does not reveal any way to re-zero the gauge which is disappointing. Since I'm now 2 for 2 with gauge accuracy problems, I'm assuming it's a pervasive flaw in this product that is compounded by the lack of ability to re-calibrate and thus only earns 3 stars from me.

This is a gift for our Grandson for Christmas 2016. We got him the 29.5 inch Wilson Evolution ball and this pump . I realize that basketballs rarely loose any great amounts of air but the pump allows him to instantly visually check on the inflation of the ball thus removing any doubts about the balls air pressure. The pump is solid hard black plastic and is super well made. The quality of this pump over all is impressive. The pump barrel is 8 inches long and the pump handle extends an additional 6 inches when your pumping air into a ball. The barrel is 1 inch in diameter. The face of the gauge is 1 & 7/8 inches in diameter and is fixed permanently to the top of the barrel. The gauge is well done and on the back side of the gauge is a relief valve ( see photo ). The Hose is very sturdy vinyl and screws into the top of the barrel very easily. The hose length is just the correct length at about 7 inches long and then add the the needle valve is about 1 & 1/4 inches long. The entire unit is very solid compact and small and will fit in a backpack very easily or the correct way for such a device is to leave it at home in your bedroom and check the ball occasionally before using. The unit comes with three needle valves ( one attached and two loose ). There is no place on the pump to store the extra needles so I simply placed the two extra valves in a tint plastic AAA battery box and he can store them with the pump in his room. I recommend this product to all.

Das ist genau die Ballpumpe die ich seit langem gesucht habe. Absolut zu empfehlen, selbst aus den USA dauerte die Lieferung nur 9 Tage. (Hoffentlich wird sie auch bald in Europa vertrieben!) Das tolle daran: - Luftprüfer mit Beschriftung für Volleyball, Basketball, Fußball usw. - Luftprüfer nur bis 22 psi, das heißt man kann die Werte gut ablesen! - Drei Metallnadeln inklusive - Schlauchverlängerung für die Nadel - Luft Ablassfunktion Dazu ist die Pumpe kompakt, sehr leicht und pumpt beim zusammen drücker als auch beim aufziehen. Ich kann den Luftprüfer mangels hochwertigem einzel Luftprüfer nicht vergleichen, aber das Ball fühlt sich genau richtig an. Was könnte man sich noch mehr wünschen? 1. Gewinde aus Metall 2. Luftprüfer Bereich noch enger gefasst, da es keinen Sinn ergibt einen großen Bereich abzudecken der in der Praxis nicht verwendet wird. Aber man sollte dazu sagen, das die Konkurrenz noch schlimmer ist und so große Bereiche verwendet das man z.B. für Volleyball raten muss ob der Luftdruck nun richtig eingestellt wurde. Das war für mich einer der Hauptgründe für diese Pumpe. 3. Vertrieb in Europa und nicht nur in den USA
