Can you throw a forehand with this? Like in ultimate frisbee?

The disc is soft, and accuracy is heavily impacted when trying to throw forehanded. A traditional, hard frisbee is better. With that said, this is the best throwing/flying frisbee I've bought over the years, and highly recommend it if you have kids.

Is this appropriate for newly turned 4 and 5 year old boys who don't know how to throw yet? If not, recommendations?
