You pry off the little colored cap at the bottom. It doesn't screw off just pries off. Takes a little effort, get your fingernail in crack if you can. Seems to open easier as time goes by and you open it a number of times.

How do these fit the Mucnhkin, as they appear not to habe the plastic ring like the more expensive blue ones?

I'm not sure. I got these for my friend when she had her baby...I'm not sure how universal the fit is but even if you don't use the ring they are very handy and they work great for the smells she say's.

Love these bags. I use them when i go out especially if i have to go to someone house. It seals some of the smell so it makes it easier to throw them out.

Saved us on multiple poopy occasions

Basically glorified dog poop bags but they have saved us so many times. They smell wonderful and are a larger size and durable plastic perfect for a dirty diaper on the go with nowhere to dispose of OR clothing post buyout. There is really no dirty smell once you tie up that bag
