The book has an absolute breadth of knowledge when it comes to the Unity Game engine. However, a sizeable amount of the information in this book is heavily outdated or obsolete (such as the chapter on micro-transactions). Also, the coding practices in this book are very questionable, as there is a very concerning amount of GameObject.Find() and GetComponent() calls (instead of using caching), as well as a very disturbing amount of string comparison. If you don't name your assets exactly as it is in the book, your code will not work. One final thing I noticed is that there is also a non-negligible amount of typos which I came across. Overall, I would strongly urge anyone to skip this book and find something more modern.
