I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter. I texted her and she said yes, it came with a wand.

Does it come with an instructoin book too? Won't have a computer or DVD available.

Yes it comes with a booklet on how to perform all of the tricks in the kit. The DVD is an added bonus and helps with seeing a visual presentation and how to perform a trick rather then just looking at the picture and following the directions.

Is this sutable for an 11 year old?

Possibly, but it may be too simple for an 11 year old. Though I don't have any children that old yet. The set was too advanced for my 4 year old. Even at 5 years now, it's still a little much for him to follow the instructions on some tricks. I would guess this set would be great for most children around age 6-8.
