It says "for uv gels only" can i use it for led gels?

Yes, they mean the same thing. It should say UV/LED. (They don't make "UV" lamps anymore, they are all LED)

Is this product effective for prepping nails before press on application?

I found it turned your nail bed yellow. Not the best product
