I didn't buy it one or 2 years ago since many reviews said there's a defect.But I discovered the defect.Don't throw this product away.I actually opened it and found nothing wrong w any contacts inside.It's where the actual batteries fit. One slot is too tight.After inserting the other two, it further causes the last slot to restrict. The slot has plastic edges that fit around the battery, which pushes the battery away from making contact. So it needs something to help increase the contact such as w foil, washer or coin.And it works perfectly fine.The company needs to contact the factory to alter the mold for the plastic area where the batteries are put into.It never worked for me when I just put in new batteries. I put in my screwdriver where I felt there wasn't good contact, worked on first power button push.------Also check if your volume is on high and that your batteries are fresh. If they be sitting in there for a good while. These are reasons why it may not turn on or start acting funny.
