Where’s the spice? The kick? The heat?
I love Frontier Co-Op! I know that with peppers of the same specimen some can have more heat than others, but I’m not finding very much in this bag. Granted my heat threshold is high, but the rest of my family’s is waaaaay low. It’s an ongoing joke with my daughter and I that if I can’t “feel” it it’s going to set her on fire... not the case with these chipotle peppers. I use thes to make my vegan nacho cheese and I’m having to use more and more, but it seems to be getting sweeter and smokier, but not spicer. I’m not looking to light people up, but at least a little spice to wake up the back of the throat. I’m about halfway through this bag.

Best Chipotle Peppers on the planet
If you appreciate dried Chipotle peppers, you can do no better than these. Frontier Coop does it right with these (as well as all their products!). The rich smokiness reaches out to grab your nose from when you first open the package, creating an auto-reponse drool. When cooking, just soak in hot or boiling water for 15 min or so before chopping or puree. Add a cup or so of rice wine vinegar to 4 or 5 of these pureed with fresh garlic and a bit cumin for an outstanding hot sauce.
