Can these work piping that connects baseboard (hydronic) heaters?

I cut open a 3/4 baseboard water heating line by mistake with sawzaw about 12 years ago. No leaks and no issues. However it won’t fit on finned baseboard heating element because it’s too small in diameter. You’ll have to sweat a pipe to element then connect shark bite. Good luck!

Do these require a stiffener be placed in the pex pipe prior to use? Or do the have a stiffener in them already?

Hello, SharkBite fittings already come with the PEX stiffener pre-installed. It is the white plastic piece you see in the picture on the inside of the fitting.

Will this in an travel trailer?I am concerned that it could come loose while bouncing down the road.

Yes, they will work fine in a travel trailer. The ends of the tubing must be clean and square and be sure they are fully inserted. Also there must be no side pressure when they are tightened down...which sometimes is challenging when working in very tight areas of a trailer.

The above answer from max is 100 % correct. This is for 3/8 od (outside diameter) the inside diameter is 1/4. As far as I have read the listing size is for Id (inside diamiter). I made the same mistake and bought the wrong size.
