which part of the pad do i use, the blue or the clear paper?

The pad is a Clear Gel Pad that's mad of an absorbent material that is mostly water and won't stick to the wound and the progress of wound healing can be easily monitored through the top of the dressing.

HOW LONG does one last??

My wife had a pretty bad burn on her arm from accidentally touching the oven - she estimates it was a second degree burn. We had one patch, but had Amazon send us these and she came away thrilled. She only had it on for 24 hours - she did not try having it on longer as she wanted to check the burn and clean the burn. But she feels as though it would be fine longer. Talking to her about it and watching the progress myself, we both were impressed by how well it stayed, how clean the area remained, and how secure she felt. Again, had she not wanted to clean the area, check it, and give it some air to aid healing, she would have felt comfortable for leaving it - in her opinion - 2 - 3 days.

The directions are terrible. It says to remove the blue plastic but mentions no clear plastic do u leave clear or want gel exposed on skin & outside ?

Personally, I removed all plastic and placed the gel burn pad directly on the skin. I kept it in place using teflon burn bandages. Together, these worked really, really well!

Can you trim the pads to fit the size burn you have? Does the gel inside ooze out if you do cut them to size?

Pads can be trimmed prior to removing the protective film covering both sides of the padded gel. The gel will remain in shape - although a little difficult to handle once the film is removed. After application, tape must cover the gel or it will dry out. This is a great product and works well for burns and blisters.

Estos son más delgados de lo que parecen. Tienen un grosor aproximado de 1 mm. Quería usarlos para una caminata de 4 días en la que necesitaría algo de 2 mm de grosor. Evitan el dolor en los hombros. Encontré un vendaje para heridas en eBay que cumplía con los requisitos. También puedes poner un segundo sobre el primero.
