Question 1

The thing slides up and down way too easily.  I have to adjust it after every hit.  How do I stop that?

If you would like to contact us with your Amazon order ID, we will be best able to assist your specific need.   Tanner Tee has a patented friction adjusting capability. If you unscrew the tee from the base and compress the tee completely down so both parts are pushed down all the way, you can look up into the pipe and see a small screw. That small screw can be turned to customize the tightness (i.e. the friction that holds the tee in position) of the adjusting part.  We recommend to our customers every 3-4 months is a good time to check the friction as described above and tighten or loosen it as you see fit. Question 2

Will this tee last leaving it outdoors. I have a batting cage and none of my 4 boys would bring it in when finished
I live in the Northeast weather

I wouldn't recommend leaving it outdoors.  Even though the "cup" is thick rubber it may have a tendency to crack when weathered.  Although that piece is replaceable it's a matter of how often would you really want to do that.  You may want a larger plastic tee so that you can leave it outside continually.

Question 3

Would this work for adult slo-pitch players?   43" doesn't sound very tall.

I don't see any issues. 43" is a pretty high pitch unless you are 6'8". My grandaughter loves it (she is 5'6") and doesn't have it set anywhere close to the full height.

Would this be appropriate for a 6 year old? Or is it too big?

Tanner Tee makes three different adjustable height tees - 16 to 23 inches, 20 to 32 inches and 26 to 43 inches.  The parts are all interchangeable, so you could buy the smallest tee to start with, then buy the parts to move up to the next taller tees as needed.  Keep in mind a major part of tee work is training to hit the ball in the strike zone, so the tee should be sized to go from knees to chest high of your player so they can practice swinging at strikes and lay off the balls.  A great tool to add to your 6 year old's baseball training could be Ron Wolforth's "Teaching Advanced T-ball."  Avoid any training that mentions "squishing the bug" or "keeping your elbow up."
