It’s digital so it should not matter, it starts at zero then measures whatever you put on it.

How accurate is it for small fish? Tournement this weekend the winning fish was 1.7, mine was 1.3. So the accuracy is very important

Wouldn't the scale weigh the grippers also?

If you put the grippers on the scale before you weigh, then reset the scale, it should measure accurately.
